Rodney S. Daniel's Online Review Report Card

Dr Daniel is wonderful. No issues with him. However its virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get someone to answer the phone ever. All calls go to VM. Frustrating and annoying. This needs to be addressed

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Daniel for roughly 10 years beginning treatment when he was at Diagnostic Clinic. I feel fortunate to have found him and resumed treatment at his present location. His office appears small but is very welcoming a refrigerator in the lobby offers cold bottled water at the checkin counter you’ll find a stack of Bibles off to the side with a sign that says “free”. Adjacent to the Bible’s there is the latest information regarding fundraisers and support groups for those who suffer autoimmune diseases. The staff make the office welcoming yet professional. Dr. Daniel is cognizant of the reluctance a patient may possess about what is happening in his or her body and takes as much time as is needed to bring a patient to appreciate diseases that often can not be readily seen at least in the early stages. His office has medical literature available to assist patients in becoming informed. I have OA and RA as does my sister who resides in another state. When we compare notes about our RA doctors I realize Dr. Daniel is very present in trying to assure I take advantage of as many treatments as are prudent. Dr. Daniel knows his stuff Thankful to be his patient.

Came in during covid for first visit. Waiting room very small no social distantancing. Saw Dr. Daniels very nice but felt rushed when talking with him. He told me he does virtual visits. Now I need to follow up but now wont do virtualWont return . not much compassion. Wont return.

Today was my 2nd visit to this office. I found Dr. Daniel to be veryknowledgeable and confident in his field of medicine. The staff is very professional. Without hesitation I would recommend Dr. Daniel to anyone seeking a rheumatologist.

Dr. Daniel listens and helps find solutions to best fit your health and lifestyle. I have complete trust in him.

The first visit I had with this doctor after talking he said “I’m so sick of doctors telling people they have lupus.” He did some spot checks on joints and said I probably have fibro which I have also been diagnosed with. He said I probably don’t need to be taking Plaquenil and so I didn’t bother getting a refill. Anyway jumping ahead now over a year and I am sicker than I have ever been in a terrible flare and still looking for a good rheumatologist. By his decision this whole situation began all because I stopped taking the Plaquenil that protects your organs. My lungs and heart are so bad right now plus my brain is being effected. I’m just sharing my experience. That’s all. I’m not doing this to be vindictive. I just want people to know what I continue to experience because of this doctors inappropriate inaccurate decision. Oh after I got my blood results and went back for a follow up he came in the room and said “You have Lupus”

Worst doctor ever I had an appt. with Dr. Daniel over a year ago and had the worst experience ever with him From the minute I went in he would not let me talk. He saw a previous medication list I had and immediately assumed I had Fibermyalgia. He was so insistant he wouldnt let me explain that my pain doctors had prescribed such meds bc I have a back injury and they tried to give me certain types of meds to help deal with my chronic back injury. In his mind those meds were given to patients with Fibermyalgia and treated me like I had no idea what I was talking about. At the end of the appt. I finally got to tell him how rude he was. He told me that he would test me for RA and if it came out negative I was wrong and he was right. Test came out negative as it always did in the past. I couldnt give up looking for a doctor that could help. I proceeded by going to an Orthopedic at USF instead. That doctor listened to me asked me 3 times if I had any other questions. He knew from the start I probably had OA sent me for tests and to their Rhumetologist who I had seen and once again my bloodwork was negative but told me that False Positives are common. Xrays and MRIs confirmed I have been suffering with Osteoarthritis OA and Rhuemetoid Arthritis RA for years. USF has doctors who actually know all about their field. The drs. at USF never once spoke down to me they listened to me and knew how to treat my diagnosis. I would never recommend Dr. Rodney Daniel to anybody please look elsewhere anywhere but not here.

I could not say anything different than how grateful I am to Dr. Rodney and his team because at this time it is difficult to find medical personnel who in addition to being an excellent professional are human and a man of God. May the Lord continue to bless you.

First visit to Dr. Daniel’s office yesterday upon a recommendation from my primary care physician Dr. Stephen Scranton. The Staff was very friendly professional and welcoming. Dr. Daniel was extremely thorough professional and proficient. He spent almost an hour with me to ensure he provided an accurate diagnosis as well as a treatment plan customized for my specific needs. I was so relieved to know I was in good hands under his care. I highly recommend Dr. Daniel and his amazing Staff for your rheumatologist care Simply outstanding

Agree with other reviewer about doctor demeanor. This doctor felt it was okay to say things like It could be worse and why does it matter what specific disease it is. Zero compassion for people battling hardtodiagnose autoimmune conditions. and even straight up called me a difficult patient See someone else
