My wife had a colectomy done by Dr Wilson. He is an excellent surgeon with a great bedside manor. As busy as he was the day of her surgery, he made time to check on 2X a day while she was hospitalized. Only pain med she had was tylenol and is making a quick recovery. Thank you Dr. Wilson
Dr Wilson was excellent and maid the experience so comfortable
Awesome dr, awesome at what he does
Dr Wilson originally biopsied me which showed that I needed surgery. Not knowing how to treat it I went to U.A.B. and had surgery. I asked Dr wilson to look and see if it was healing properly which he refused but said he would be happy to biopsy me again. I made an appointment 2 months in advance and showed up to be told that my appointment had been canceled the day before because they had no records on me. They had 2 months to prepare for my visit. I was then told on the phone that he did not want to see me and I should go back to U.A.B. I was treated like an outcast and the whole thing was very unprofessional. Luckily I found a surgeon that took me right in, was very nice and immediately set up a biopsy.
So what do you say to a guy that saved your life? Thank you? Good job? I remember going to sleep just before he operated on me to remove my cancer, and thinking to myself.... I hope I wake up! I hope he does a good job! I'm about to have him work on me again, now it's to remove my chemo port because he did such a good job, I don't need it any more.. How in the heck do I thank some one for that. I get to live. My family gets to have me provide for them. What do you say? Thank you? It doesn't seem like enough... but it's going to have to work.. THANK YOU DR WILSON!!!
My son had an inguinal hernia that Dr Wilson repaired. My son was very nervous at the office visit as he didn't know what to expect. Dr Wilson was kind, patient, and helped calm my sons nerves about the upcoming surgery. The day of the surgery Dr Wilson was great with him and answered any questions my son had before surgery and then answered all the questions my husband and I had. He was very professional, caring, and had a wonderful bedside manner.
I just had a Laparoscopic Colectomy done by Dr. Wilson. This was a first class experience from start to finish. His staff loves him, he is very informative, he takes his time and explains things, he respects your dignity, and most of all he's a fine surgeon. I'm sitting at home right now, day 3 after surgery, feeling very fortunate that I had the good luck to have him for my surgeon.
Dr. Wilson performed a lumpectomy on me. I had no issue at all. He has a great bedside manner and he spends the time with you without the feeling of being rushed out of his office. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Wilson.
I had gallbladder surgery today and it's now 11:30 pm. 5-16-19. I was unaware until a couple of hours after the procedure that I was given 18 pain pills. 7.5mg to be taken every 4 hours. That's a 3 day supply. They aren't touching my pain, I'm extrwextr uncomfortable. I'm 55, no history of medication abuse and am suffering, unable to rest.
I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy with intraoperative choleangiogram done in 2005 by Dr. Wilson. He did a fantastic job and even checked on me afterwards, not just in recovery or at the post-op appointment. He is a wonderful surgeon and human who I still refer my friends and family to.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
