Love Dr. Kamel and Dr. Brooks!!! Both have taken excellent care of me the past 10 years. Never ever had any problems or treated un professional. Very nice office and always prompt on appointments and problems handled in a very quickly manner.
My child is 16 years old going between grades and Hashimoto’s. We’ve done several blood tests mostly on the T levels, but the doctors there don’t order other test like minerals test, selenium the D’s in the body factors that contribute to thyroid issues. I don’t understand why they don’t dig deeper to find the root of the problem versus just treating the symptoms.
Dr. Kamel has been my Endocrinologist for 2 years now and I'm very happy I chose him for my diabetic wellness. He is professional/knowledgeable and very good listener when it comes to my diabetic health. He will work with you on all levels weather it's costs, health preferences or anything associated with diabetic needs. Very friendly staff, large waiting room area with good distancing between patients.
This Dr. treats his patients like numbers. He is telling you what he wants to do, not listening to you. Doesn't care if his recommendation causes you more problems getting medication or supplies, costs you more money, its about what is easiest for him. Office staff is THE WORST, don't answer phones, can't order supplies or respond to insurance for approvals. I literally have to drive up there to get answers about refills because they will not answer the phones. Last straw a Med Asst lied about me to the Dr and the Dr did not even verify it before lashing out. They cannot keep Drs either, i have seen over 3 in 4 years.
I was a patient at the Kissimmee/Orlando office for 4 years. In that time, they could never keep staff. I saw over 3 medical providers in 4 years. Every time they changed providers, they wanted to change my medicine to the company or vendor of their choice, even for the same items. I told them that I did not want to change where I get my medical supplies because I don’t want to pay more or have to get new approvals from my insurance company, so keep it the same. They changed it anyway, their new provider did not have the supplies I needed, so it had to be changed back, but all new approvals were needed. The staff does not regularly answer the phone, so the vendor, my insurance company, nor I could reach them by phone. When I went to the office, the office manager was willing to fix the problem, but a Medical Assistant lied, this Dr. without any information made the decision that the asst was right and the patient wrong. He never listened to me as a patient anyway. It is a blessing.

When I went to the office, the office manager was willing to fix the problem, but a Medical Assistant decided it was too much work, and walked through the office complaining about me as a patient while discussing my medical information. When I told her to shut her mouth, she went to the doctor and told him I hit her. However the office has cameras in the area we were in, and we were not alone. When the police were called the Dr. refused to pull up the video to prove the employee was a liar, and told the police to have me to leave. They refused to charge me with assault because they would have to provide the video. Poor service, and if you do not use the people they want they will make up an excuse to discharge you as a patient. It was a blessing, the Dr. Does not listen to patients, treats them as cattle.
I transferred to this clinic when my regular Nurse Practitioner went to work here. She is still great. The clinic not so much. I have had so many prescription debacles. 90 day supply but they wrote conflicting instructions so it could only be filled for 45 days. 30 day prescription written to only be filled every 31 days. Follow-up visits that are after prescriptions run out so you have to make special visit just to get refills. Prescriptions sent to the wrong pharmacies to be filled. Their refill portal is a great idea but it is out of service most of the time. Good luck calling anyone. They use an answering service so you MIGHT get a call back in 24-48 hours. You have to go into their office to get a response. That sure cuts into someone's work day doing it that way.
Like many others I have noticed the service deteriorate. Staff are unfriendly and robotic. When Walmart sent them three requests for a refill on my diabetic sensors it was only when I called them that they denied getting the requests BUT then said they would not allow them to be filled because I had not been in for an appointment. Would not even give me ONE sensor while I waited for my scheduled appointment. This supposedly came directly from Dr. Kamel. So here I am with no ability to monitor my sugar until the appointment and they don't care and supposedly its the DOCTOR that made the final decision. Needless to say I will be looking for another doctor. Place has gotten too big and too much of a money mill for my taste. Can't wait to take my business somewhere else. Fine way to treat a retired military person and long time patient. My mother went there for many many years, she also will be moving to another doctor. She never got to see a doctor when she went there anyway - he is way too busy and important now to give any personal care anymore.
I miss the fish tanks in the lobby.
Ashley is the best, very helpful, caring and attentive. I've never had a problem with care but unlike John I adult and make sure I have my regularly scheduled appointments. Dr. Kamel infact sees many patients in a day and when I've ran out of diabetic supplies they made sure I was taken care of all you have to do is go to the office and see If they have extras.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
