Dr Ortega is an awesome human. I couldn't wait to see him. He called me after hours. Even after i yelled at his receptionist out of frustration. 👏

I went to see Dr. Ortega last week and I was extremely pleased. He was very through and went below looking at the issue that brought me to his practice. He actually looked up my recent blood work at Gulf Coast Hospital, in addition to reviewing the x-rays I brought. He put me at ease and gave to the confidence to know what I am experiencing is simply aging.

Surgical Associates. Suite 108b. Saw a lady. Pulled drain tube out from appendix surgery. Left hole open and told to take ibuprofen. Could care less about your pain.

Dr. Ortega saved my life in more ways than one. He takes a special interest in his patients. You’re not just “a number” to him. Yes, visits take longer than most. But that’s bc he cares.

This "Dr" refused to examine my husband and instead gives us legal and financial advice about suing his worker's comp even though we told him we aren't suing anyone and we're happy with them. His only comment was to give it time. Only go to him if you want to sue someone or you're a disability chaser.

Dr. Ortega fought to get my special needs daughter a smart vest to clear her lungs . Blue Cross and Medicaid denied her to have one because she has round cerebral palsy and a vest won’t do her anything for her . My baby was going in the hospital every two month with double pneumonia . For 10 years since she had her smart vest , she hasn’t had pneumonia and her lungs sound beautiful . I am so ever beyond grateful for Dr. Ortega , my baby would of been dead 10 years ago . I hope Dr. Ortega reads this cause , he left after Hurricane Michael .. I want him to know I love him !

My husband just found out yesterday from another specialist, that in 2014, he was misdiagnosed with having Asbestosis from Dr. Ortega. Always get a second opinion sooner. We have been through hell with having the wrong diagnosis for so long. He was told to retire and enjoy the rest of his time because there was nothing to be done, so my husband stopped going to see anyone else thinking there was nothing they could do for him as he was getting worse.
