List of Alex Lam's Reviews
Dr Lam is an extremely knowledgeable doctor. Unfortunately he does not have the time for all his patients anymore. I feel like all I do is repeat the same information every visit but it is not documented. The information I share is pertinent to my care but it doesn't register. It's so frustrating and disappointing. Some of the staff are very nice, but many are dismissive and unresponsive. It's sad what has happened to healthcare. Disappointing
I been under the care of Dr Lam for three years now and he never gave up on finding the right treatment for my condition. Dr Lam is very personal, professional and demonstrates high knowledge and skills of his profession. His team is very nice and helpful. I highly recommend Dr Lam!!
I had an appointment with Dr. Fonseca and he was very polite, took his time calmly, and after a few exams that he asked me to do I will see Dr. Fonseca again. I can only thank him for his calm manner. Great Doctor.
Does not actually care about people. Used to see in almost a decade ago, and blood work was normal, plus he stopped taking my insurance. Now fast forward, I had an appt tomorrow and called the office to check the time; thankfully, bc they cancelled my appointment, saying they had discharged me as a patient in 2015. Likely he thought it was all in my head. After a pacemaker, 10 day hospital stay, genetics and abnormal blood work, I called to make an appt now years later. Even after the manager called the Dr and said my blood work shows issues, he refused to see me- and he's not even the Dr I had the appt with, it's his practice though. Stick with someone who cares. That's not this practice. The Dr owner himself is problematic, even if you see another practitioner. Please spend your money and time elsewhere.
Saw many years ago with normal blood work and was discharged as a patient when he stopped taking my insurance. Now I have abnormal blood work, a pacemaker, and he refuses to see me. Sorry, were you embarrassed at being wrong, doctor?
I got a referral from my primary to this office. I called today July 19, 2021 to make an appointment with Dr. Lam and I was told he's not taking new patients but two other staff are so I accepted to make an appointment with other staff as long as he/she accepted insurance. The receptionist pretending to finish the conversation did not want to assist me. I told her not to hang up on me and to connect me to someone who can assist me but she hung up. This is a very upsetting experience for me. She was unprofessional and rude. I was calm when I spoke to her. I hope management follows up. People like me already don't feel well and have to deal with this nonsense. If you're going to work in a medical facility, you need to be sensitive to the needs of people who use your services.
Tall Blonde front desk girl is soooooo sweet and helpful. My grandmother is always taken care of. Thank you!
Grateful to have Dr. Lam as my dearest specialist, he’s a compassionate and caring human being. A great doctor to say the least, THANK YOU
Patience is a virtue. Dr. Lam literally saved my life! Prior to visiting him, I had visited over 7 different rheumatologist. I knew something was wrong but refused to believe it was the diagnosis being provided. Also, I was not going to take the harsh medication that they were recommending. After receiving a recommendation from my husband's primary doctor, I scheduled my first appointment. I waited over 2 hours before seeing him only for him to tell me he wanted to run his own blood work. I was livid and vowed to never return. I visited 2 other rheumatologists then decided maybe I should go back to see what he actually had to say so I packed two books and my laptop anticipating a long wait. Indeed it was a long wait but as I was waiting in the examination room I realized Dr. Lam was actually taking time to listen and talk with each patient. Well after discussing my bloodwork, he confirmed that I had been misdiagnosed by every single rheumatologist that I had visited. He was the only doctor to confirm what I had believed from the beginning. After discussing a plan of action, which did not include any of the harsh drugs that were previously recommended, I was on my way to recovery. To be clear, the plan was centered around changing my diet not adding prescriptions. He never prescribed a medication. After following every single recommendation he proposed and continued monitoring, I was back to normal within 13 weeks. Prior to seeing him, I was unable to walk, bathe or even move without assistance from my husband. My body would completely shut down after a certain time everyday and ache with pain. Well after following Dr. Lam's plan, I was back to running my normal miles with 15 weeks. If you want the best of the best, you will have to wait. If you want someone to simply write you a prescription and give you a canned diagnosis, he is not the doctor for you. I highly recommend him if you truly want the best in the industry. Go prepared to wait but know that he will not rush you or dismiss your concerns.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
