I had my surgery last year in July. I am so happy with myself. Dr. Mate I and his staff were wonderful with the process, knowledgeable, understanding and very comforting. Karla who arranges everything with your insurance company to do everything she can to get you approved. The nutritionist Sunny also wonderful. I recommended Dr. Mate I and his staff to anyone hands down. Also shout out to Memorial Hospital on Flamingo.

Dr Emil Matei is great! I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon! He is so nice, sweet, understanding, a great listener! He made me feel comfortable in my skin and help me feel relaxed! My daughter has been trying to obtain an appointment with Dr. Matei, it is impossible. Placed a call, provided all information, was told insurance needed to be verified prior to making an appointment. Called numerous times since, still no appointment. Continue to state "you're on the list" "you will be contacted tomorrow" Months later, still no response or appointment. Very unprofessional.

The best doctor around and his staff is the bomb. Very professional and efficient. Dr. Matei performed my gallbladder removal yesterday and I feel great today. Thank you all so much for a wonderful experience. You guys rock!!!!

Dr Matei is an excellent doctor. I had the gastric sleeve procedure with no problems. His office staff is awesome especially Karla. I can’t say enough great things about my experience. If you are thinking about weight loss surgery, go see DR Emil Matei. You won’t regret it.
