I saw Dr. Pidhorecky and I felt he was very condescending and short with me. He did not let me ask questions and abruptly left the room. I went somewhere else for my care.

You never want to have a dreaded cancer diagnosis and you never want to need surgery. But if it happens, you want to have Dr. Pidhorecky as your oncology surgeon because he’s the very BEST! In January of this year, I was diagnosed with “C” and needed to have a lumpectomy. My oncologist referred me to Dr. Pidhorecky who operates on most of her patients requiring surgery. She commented on how much care he took to ensure the incision and lumpectomy were thorough but as minimally invasive as possible. I came to truly understand what that meant afterwards. I secured an appointment within a week. After meeting with Dr. Pidhorecky, I immediately knew I had found the right surgeon. He was compassionate, kind and patient, explained things thoroughly and provided a very positive outlook for my diagnosis. On the day of surgery, he visited with me before and after. I had complete confidence. Healing took place quickly. I was amazed at the flawless incision which blended in perfectly within a few months. I also noticed there was no deformity whatsoever. The breast operated on was only slightly smaller than the other one, which was not noticeable at all when wearing clothes. No cosmetic surgery was needed. Fast forward six months. My initial diagnosis, surgery, radiation and healing have all taken place. My prognosis is as positive as possible with a less than 1% chance of re-occurrence. I feel blessed. Thank you Dr. Pidhorecky (oncology surgeon), Dr. Carcas (oncologist) and Dr. Botero (radiation oncologist) for the best medical care, as well as the most positive, ongoing support throughout my treatment. I have the BEST TEAM ever! A HUGE thank you also goes to the staff at Florida Surgical Care for always being so kind, caring and helpful. Dr. Pidhorecky is not only the BEST, but he ensures his staff is the BEST, as well.

I had a melanoma removed from my right thigh. Dr. Pidhorecky did and excellent job. My scar is healing awesome. Thanks Dr. Pidhorecky and his nice staff

I had melanoma surgery on February 7th. It's April 4th and the incision is still not healed. I'm not a doctor, but common sense would tell you that steri-strips are woefully inadequate to close a long and deep incision. I needed to make 3 trips to my D.O. to try and get this incision to heal. The worst part was he looked at it and said it looked fine while it was becoming abscessed.Not going back!

Dr. Pidhorecky is an amazing doctor took care of my cancer he was with me all through every step of the way thank you so much.

Felt comfortable with him as he is really knowledgeable. He explained everything with care and the overall experience was great. Would definitely recommend him and hopefully I won't need to return but if I had to, I would pick him again.

El quito una masa de mi intestino delgado y luego resulto ser maligna, antes de la cirugía yo estaba muy mal de salud y pensé que moriría en la cirugía, pero todo resulto mejor de lo que yo espere. Excellent surgeon! At 71 years age and my first surgery ever. Dr. Pidhorecky explained to me the whole process in detail. All that I had to do before and after the procedure were explained in detail. The surgery was done smoothly and the cancerous tumor was removed. Doc came to see me both the days I was in the hospital recuperating after the surgery. Very happy with the Docter. I recommend him outright.
