James Duerkes's Online Review Report Card

I was 7 weeks pregnant when he was unable to locate my baby on the ultrasound. As he removed the wand from inside my cervix, I began to feel sharp pains. I left to the restroom to check myself and everything appeared fine. This was my second pregnancy so I’m not new to pain. It was intense cramping. When I got back into the examination room, I proceeded to pass out for about a minute. Before I passed out, I saw him walk out and leave me with the med assistant to take care of me and explain my symptoms to be “anxiety”. After passing out, one more time, I felt like he wasn’t telling me something. I kept asking questions and he never validated my concerns. I followed Dr. D’s orders to go home and carry on as usual and “get an ultrasound at the hospital between today and tomorrow”.No urgency. I had internal bleeding. An hour later, I passed out at home in front of my 6 y/o and thankfully my husband was there to rush me to ER. He failed to tell me that I had a RUPTURED ectopic. 0 out of 10.

Dr. Duerkes and all of the nurses are always so pleasant. The clean, welcoming office puts you at ease instantly. Dr. Duerkes takes his time to explain every issue and concern at hand while being in tune with his patients needs.

I had a nice first time appointment. The doctor and staff are absolutely wonderful.

extremely comfortable I like for my environment and atmosphere to feel natural and safe that was provided to me upon my arrival. The Dr was a great listener and touch base on all the concerns I have discussed today. I highly recommend this office they deserve more clientele. The office was lovely clean and protocols were set for covid.

I visited Dr. Duerkes with my first pregnancy, he is understanding, warm and takes his time to answer your questions. His bedside manners are perfect. I will be coming back to him if I decide to get pregnant again and for future follow ups.

Doctor Duerkes is the consummate professional. He is adroit and extremely educated but moreover he is warm and personable. Because I am over 35 my pregnancy was labeled as high risk and as an added layer of complexity my baby was breeched so needless to say my anxiety level was high throughout the process and Doctor Duerkes was patient every step of the way answering all of my questions and guiding me through the best course of treatment. If my family remains in the Miramar area I hope to remain his patient for many years to come.

Dr. Duerkes has exceeded my expectations with the care he provided during and after my pregnancy. He is by far one of the most patient and caring doctors I have ever met. He is calm and relaxed and you will never feel rushed out of the office. Also, his nurses are excellent! Always following up with answers to your concerns and very attentive. I have recommended him to so many mommies to be! Thank you Dr. Duerkes and your team! You guys made the process as smooth as it can be for me!

Dr. Duerkes is hands down the best OB I have ever been to!! I moved to South Florida shortly after getting pregnant and I was so nervous to try to find a good doctor to deliver my baby and walk me through the whole thing as this was my first pregnancy. I am so glad I found him. He was so reassuring to me throughout my whole pregnancy, as he answered every question I had no matter how silly. And when it came time to have our baby he made it the best experience possible!!

As a first-time mom I had so many concerns when choosing which doctor would be right for my baby and me. But, from my very first prenatal appointment, I knew that Dr. James Deurkes wouldn't let me down. He was very patient with me and extremely detailed when answering my questions. I am so grateful that I chose Dr. Deurkes for this journey and if I had to do it all over again I would choose him every time. Dr. Duerkes came highly recommended during my pregnancy and after meeting him at my first prenatal visit I knew for sure I was in good hands. He has wonderful bedside manners, he's kind and compassionate and most importantly to me, I love that he takes the time to learn about me and my concerns to better care for me. His entire team from the girls at the front desk as well as his partner are all professional and friendly. You will not be disappointed.
