Best PCP I have ever been to.

Dr. Fichera is okay (the one time I’ve ever seen her). But my last straw with the office was when the PA kept asking me to come in for unnecessary appointments, requesting I draw blood for unnecessary labs, I felt it was all for insurance and co pay purposes. I came in there for an ekg and physical and she absolutely wouldn’t not sign my documents without making me do unnecessary bloodwork. Sending me to specialists. Every specialist I saw was so confused as to why she sent me and would send her info nothing is wrong with me. Very weird. And never again. Literally the worst 3 weeks of my life of going in practically every day asking if she signed my papers. Everyday was a diff excuse. New year. New pcp. Done with them forever.

I've been a patient of Dr Fichera from when she started working at the Medical Building at Memorial hospital West. I'm pretty sure I was one of her first patients. I remember when she joined that office. I liked her immediately. She had great knowledge and showed tremendous care. She'. a brilliant Dr. She has taken great care of all my medical needs. She always explained everything throughly. I felt she went above and beyond. Since COVID... Everything changed. Most of her staff are new and rude, dismissive and impatient.

Office staff is inefficient. Appointment systems ineffective. You will never actually see the doctor. I took the day off for this appointment that was set about 3 months prior just to be told that the doctor is not in the office today and that the person who made the appointment should have told me that a condition to annual physicals is that you must have been seen within the last year. A waste of time and effort. Every time I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, I am reminded how poor this medical office is in their day to day operations.

5 Stars as a Dr She diagnosed a skin issue that 2 Drs & a derma couldn't figure out. She advised on treatment & it improved quickly, to where it's not an issue anymore. She also helped w/ weight & improving overall health. BUT, I now need to find another Dr. On a visit 10 yrs ago I heard complaining about there being too many patients scheduled. She was right. Office was very busy & she was rushed. On subsequent visits, this improved but not for long. Physicals had to be scheduled further ahead. Over time she was less available & I was seen by the PA instead (PA was great too but after months waiting for an app, one expects their primary). Worse, twice I was called just before the app to reschedule as the doctor wouldn't be available. I called early Sept for an app, earliest was mid Nov. I asked if I can see another DR/PA sooner, no luck. I called today to try to move it up & was told she's completely booked thru Dec & turns out my app in Nov is scheduled w/ the PA & not Dr Fichera.

This office is terrible. You can not see the doctor only the PA (who is extremely rude) and they refuse to speak to you by phone no matter what the issue. Luckily I work in the medical field and was able to look at my test results ( in my chart online)and know that I needed to see a specialist. If I had relied on a response from this office I would still be waiting for medical care months later. I am switching to another doctors office and do not recommend this one. They only care about getting you in and out to bill for their office visit.

In all the years I have been with them, I have NEVER seen the doctor.All I get is the assistant.What is the point of having a doctor that you never get to see ? Also,during the pandemic,I wanted to see them due to a back ache.But they refused to see me even though a back ache is definitely not a sign of infection ! All I got was a video conference and again with the assistant ( big surprise there !). Don't go there if you ever want to have a doctor look into your needs! I have given one star coz they don't have negative stars !

Dr. Fichera is a wonderful doctor. She is very knowledgeable & Compassionate. You will never feel rushed because Dr Fichera will spend whatever time with you, you need.
