My first appointment was yesterday August 31 at 1:15 before heading to the appointment I called the office and advised them that I will be arriving late due to being at another appointment with my son . I was told by the front desk the latest I could arrive was 1:30. My arrival time was at 1:35 which showed in my gps I communicated this to her and she agreed and told me to not be later than that time. I drove 30 minutes to get to the office and arrived at 1:34. I signed in. The office small door was closed as she was answering a call. After 8 min of waiting . Two groups of family arrived and signed in after me. The front desk open the window and acknowledge the two groups who arrived after myself . To then she acknowledged me and stated the doctor could not see me because the latest I could have arrived was 1:30 and I arrived at 1:34. I explained to her I spoke to someone prior to heading over because I didn’t want to waste mine or their time if they could not attend me. She repeated herself and offered an appointment September 26 a month from yesterdays date . I explained to her because I was 8 months pregnant and due anytime it was not going to be possible if there was anything she could do . I had gotten the day off work to attend to these appointments. she just kept repeating herself and stating the doctor was extremely busy. As if 4 minutes of myself arriving would have made any difference when she was on a call for 8 minutes and had three groups of family waiting for her to attend us. My first impression no empathy and lack of understanding for customers especially since I called before hand. Very distasteful and I will be looking for another doctor .
Terrible!!! I rather wait a month to see another doctor before I return. Office staff leaves the phone off the hook to not answer. My apt was cancelled and the doctor did not want to see us. We drove over an hour and a half to see this doctor and the office staff makes no effort. Horrible!!!
Dr. Serrat is simply amazing. Wonderful with my child, always friendly, professional, and courteous. He takes his time to attend to all my questions and concerns. Great & friendly staff.
My daughter has been with Dr. Serrat for 5 years now, and since the beginning until now, he’s been simply THE BEST. He’s professional, courteous, always answers all my questions, and takes his time to explain anything we might not understand. His staff is professional, helpful, & very friendly. I’m very grateful to have found his practice.
I saw Dr. Serrat from the ages of 12-18, and looking back, there were some issues with his care:1) Put me on Synthroid for hypothyroid, but refused to change my dose despite continued symptoms (hair loss, weight gain, always cold, low basal temp, etc). Also refused to test T3 & T4 levels - only TSH.2) Belittled me and my symptoms. He said - and I’ll never forget it - “Just take in fewer calories than you burn off! Honestly, I thought you were smart”. That’s exactly why I was referred to him, but he saw my weight as a personal failing.3) Suggested bariatric surgery when I was 13. THIRTEEN. Not even in high school, not finished growing yet, and definitely not prepared for the the complications I would’ve faced. Didn’t even think about the psychological impact it might have on the body image of a middle school girl. Thankfully, I didn’t do it. But he gave me trust issues with doctors that continue to affect me. When asked about bias in medicine, Dr. Serrat is my first example.
Dr. Serrat is very knowledgeable and thorough. He is very friendly and easy to talk to. His staff is very accommodating. I would highly recommend Dr. Serrat.
Wonderful doctor!!!!!!!
If I could leave "no stars" I would. I cancelled my daughters appointment before even making it in. Unfortunately I never got a chance to the meet the doctor. The staff over the phone was very rude and inconsiderate. They need to understand we are concerned parents and the last thing we want to do is have to see a specialist for a problem that our child may have. We are not visiting your office by choice. It's unfortunate because these are children who's lives are affected. Do better or get out of the field.
Dr. Serrat is an amazing doctor. He has been caring for a son for 5 years. He always takes time to discuss your concerns and his advice and treatment is excellent. HIs bedside manner is fantastic and he knows how to speak to children in a way that makes them relaxed and informed. Dr. Serrat's many years of experience is very helpful in creating a medical strategy for each individual case. His staff is very proffesional, courteous, and always available by phone to help with prescriptions, insurance issuess and other items.
He treats everyone like family
