If you are on the fence and are wondering if you need to get a second opinion about your thyroid and hormones, this is your sign. I have been having serious health issues in the past two years, although in total my health has been pretty poor for 12. I have been shuffled around, sent from specialist to specialist, but no one has had an answer for me. My health has deteriorated to the point where I am no longer working and relying on assistance from my parents. And until Dr. Fiore, no one has had an answer. I am a young woman in my thirties and could not bend down to tie my own shoes; my 62 year old father had to help me. I have not been sleeping through the night for almost 2 years, constantly tossing and turning from what I was told was Fibromyalgia pain. It hurt to sit. It hurt to stand. Walking for more than 10 minutes was out of the question. If I went food shopping for 30 minutes, by the time I got home my ankles were swollen and I was so sore I couldn't walk the next day. I had been living in a demoralizing, humiliating existence and relying on others to help me get through the day because I could no longer rely on my body to be consistent and pain-free. I went to my thyroid doctor I was using before Dr. Fiore, and always felt like the visits were a joke. It was the same old script. She'd asked me how I was feeling, I told her I was feeling awful. Brain fog, muscle pain, joint pain, and such a terrible exhaustion I was scared to drive for fear of getting into an accident. She would say the same thing. "Your thyroid levels are fine." But I don't FEEL fine. I would ask her to run some tests, hormones and such. She refused and said it wasn't necessary. I guess my well-being was included in that. When I went to see Dr. Fiore, I had no expectations whatsoever. I expected to be talked down to, my concerns all dismissed, my blood work to be considered "normal", and I would leave another doctor's office with no answers and no hope. I was so defeated at this point, and almost resigned to just living this way. I went to see so many people, and they all had the same answer: "You're fine." Well, I was not fine. And I didn't even have to tell Dr. Fiore that. He read my blood work, he asked a lot of questions, and genuinely cared about my well-being. And for the first time in such a very long time, he gave my what I was hoping for: validation. That I wasn't crazy, that there really WAS something wrong, and he was going to do all the tests he could to figure out what was going wrong. And he said something I never heard a thyroid doctor say: just because your thyroid levels are normal, doesn't mean YOU feel normal. He was going to give me medication based on how my body felt, not numbers on a page. I was in shock. He came up with a great medication plan, and not even a week in there has been such a night and day change. I can stay awake throughout the day without any naps. My brain fog has diminished greatly. And yesterday I had such an amazing moment I almost started crying in the middle of the grocery store. For the first time in two years, I could bend down on my knees and not feel unspeakable pain. There were still twinges there, yes, but I could bend down all by myself! I could tie my shoes again! It didn't feel real. Yesterday just didn't seem real. I still have ways to go before I get to better health, but let me tell you, he gave me something I have been looking for for a very long time: hope. I truly feel with his help I won't be like this for much longer. I'll be able to get a job again and live my life like I used to. If you're unhappy with your thyroid treatment and feel like it's not enough, please get a second opinion and see this man. He will listen to you, value your opinions and feelings, and will not dismiss what you say. He will be in your corner and will fight for you. Dr. Fiore, from the bottom of my heart I thank you. You have given me hope that I will be back to my old healthy self in no time.

Superb attention. Office staff truly helps one feel welcomed, safe and important. Dr. Fiore is an exceptional doctor. Takes his time with his patients, not a paranoid doctor. Very objective and helps set realistic goals. Wish I could refer everyone to him whether they need and Endocrinologist or not.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
