I went to the E.R. with unbearable pain in my lower back SI area..I was put in the aisle of the unit and attended to without being put into a treatment bay. EVEN THOUGH there were 2 rooms unoccupied i could see the entire time I was there..11 HOURS! I am also pregnant..2nd trimester and no one wanted to help me to the bathroom..since standing caused the excruciating pain...I had MRI and after asking many times over several hours a Dr. pulled up the test on a computer..looked and said he saw nothing!! I was reluctantly given a wheel chair to leave....my Fiance pushed me out through the E.R past MANY more empty rooms!!! I was brushed aside like I didn't exist..terrible waste of my time...fyi. people are in hallways on gurney in ER because the hospital won't clean empty rooms in a timely manner..its not COVID causing this poor treatment..its too few cleaners.mismanagent and in my case medical personnel who just din't seem to care at this hospital !
If you get COVID do not go to this hospital because you will not make it. My mother did not make it because the infectious desease doctor and the other doctors did not want to help my mom and did not gave her antibiotics to treat the COVID pneumonia. Those doctors told me many times that COVID pneumonia is not treated with antibiotics in this hospital because is viral.
I’d give this hospital a 0 if I could in regards to security. I’ve been battling with them for 3 DAYS almost in regards to my grandmothers safety who has dementia and isn’t always here. I gave an order for no visitors yet they keep letting them in like it’s nothing. One specific individual who was denied access (she was aware of this) somehow SNUCK past security late at night and made her way to my grandmothers room yet wasn’t seen by ANYONE nor can they give me a proper explanation as to what happened. This is absolutely unacceptable and something should be done for the safety of future patients. Yes, theyve apologized profusely but an apology wouldn’t have fixed anything if god forbid this person would’ve been a killer or something worse. Please PLEASE do something to ensure the safety of your patients
The staff here does try to help , not always the kindest in the works but at least in the scheduling department they do try to go above and beyond from my experience with them . When they have not had authorization ms from insurance they have let me know in a timely manner and even tried to call the ordering doctors offices to expedite the process . I can’t give 5 stars because I’d like to see the staff do better as far as showing patients that they matter when visiting there, not like they are just another number that’s been pulled. Other than that , all I can say is different departments, different people . Unfortunately the ratings are for the entirety of the facility, and not by department.
I just been discharged today,I was hospitalized for 5 days and I have only beautiful words to express how professional the doctors, specialists and nurses are, the service is excellent, the best Hospital
The surgery department at this hospital is extraordinary! The nurses, specifically Catherine, the doctors, and the specialists are amazing. They care a lot about their patients. The best hospital!!!
mi experiencia en este hospital ah sido.muy buena siempre llevo a mis niñas a esta emergencia y son muy rápidos y atentos . gracias .
I was just denied entry into Memorial Hospital West to see my mother, who's being treated here for a serious illness. I lost my vaccine card so I only had the documents provided to me from my former employer stating that I was vaccinated on 12/20 and 1/21. These documents were good enough for my current employer to prove my vaccination status but NOT good enough for Memorial West. I'm disgusted by this policy, even though I'm vaccinated, I think it's egregious to deny ANYONE vaccinated or not access to their sick relative. If the majority are vaccinated and EVERYONE is masked, it's absolutely absurd to force people to prove their vaccine status and a complete violation of privacy.I'm just disgusted by the idea that my personal liberties and others are being completely disregarded in the name of what? Covid isn't going anywhere and our personal liberties are going to continue to be eroded. As a fully vaccinated person, I support your right to do what's right for your own body. Thanks Memorial Hospital West for your complete and utter lack of understanding regardless of me providing proof.
Sadly as of today 10/20/21 you have to “show your papers” to enter the hospital to visit a sick family member. They require proof of vaccine to visit a loved one, the checkin desk has 4 rude security guards demanding you show them your vaccine card. If you are not fully vaccinated with them inspecting your personal medical records or cannot show them the card then you can not visit your loved one, no exceptions.
I delivered my daughter a week ago, I must say everyone was awesome but the nurses who stood out the most was Elisa, Anita and Ann.Elisa educated my husband and I on do's and don'ts for our newborn. She made sure I was well taken care during my stay. She did random checkups and encouraged me to walk and advised it'll help with the gas pain.Anita was so sweet and offered to watch our baby while we catch up on some sleep. She also encouraged me to walk and also watch our baby girl while we walked the hallway. It also gave my husband and I a little alone time to chat with each other lol.Ann was so friendly and helpful. She assisted with all of our needs. Thank you ladies! ❤I want to back track to the day of delivery, I had a bad experience with the anesthesia team back 2016, Lisa advised she read the notes and ensure it doesn't happen again. My goodness it was the smoothes c-section I've ever had; with James by her side to help me stay still during the process made it so effortless. Dr. Duerkes and the entire team in the OR was amazing. Thank you!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
