Great staff! Fantastic dentists when you have to have several different procedures done. Always able to fit you in on an emergency!!Been with this group for years, very happy!!

Several years ago, I had a dental implant done at Sage Dental of Pembroke Pines. It failed prematurely. Since each implant system is different and uses special tools, I had to return to Sage, since no dentist in my area (I had moved) uses the same implant system. No credit was given for the premature failure of the implant. I called Sage and they said they could fix it for me. I provided all my insurance information for them to verify. Before the first appointment, they said they took my insurance and I was set to go. However, after the initial evaluation and treatment, I was told they would not accept my insurance (Humana), and I would have to pay all expenses out of pocket. I called Humana to obtain an exception to go out of network and they agreed to do this, however the office manager, Jessica, was not willing at all to work with Humana, would not take the calls from their agent and would not even agree to let me give her my case number. Nonetheless Humana sent me an explanation of benefits showing me what my copay amount was and what they were paying Sage Dental. I took this with me to my second visit to have the crown installed. I showed the office manager and she still was not willing to accept my copay amount and told me I would have to pay in full and it was my problem if I wanted to get reimbursed. She literally did this while I was sitting in the dental chair being treated and took the credit card machine to me half way through treatment indicating they would not finish and she would not be willing to accept what the insurance company put in writing they would pay and that I still needed to pay all charges up front. To top it off, I was told I owed a balance from my initial treatment years ago (which I did not owe, but was forced through extortion to pay). Evidently, they do ¨balance billing¨ in which they negotiate a fee with the insurance company they say they are willing to accept, but in reality do not accept it and then bill the patient the difference. Then they say the patient owes something, when upon leaving the office and having received the treatment, everything has already been paid in full. I find these practices to be very dishonest. They are not willing to work with the insurance companies or will not accept their negotiated rates, they are not helpful to the patients and when you need to speak to the office manager, I was told she was very busy and they were short staffed. I tried in good faith to work with them and resolve the issues and I got a very bad faith response from them. I hope I am never in the need to go there again and definitely would not recommend this dental office to anyone.

It is organized, welcoming, with excellent dentists, hygienists specialists, office manager, and staff. I am completely satisfied with the exceptional care my family and I receive whenever we go there.
