This is a doctor that will never dismiss your concerns or symptoms! This is the doctor who will dig and dig until he finds the answer. Two of my husband's brothers died and the young age of 49 & 50 of a heart attack, my husband went to Dr. Peña with obvious concerns and he discovered that they have a genetic disease called Familial dislipidemia, it's when the body produces (diet aside) more of the bad cholesterol and less than the good. I will never forget his words to my husband when the results came in he told him "Your a dead man walking" explained to him that with taking cholesterol medicine and exercise he would not die from that. Since then 4 years ago, his cholesterol levels are always normal. He not only saved my husband's life but the life of the other living brother who proceeded to check himself and was also in the same situation. He saved my life by discovering that had stones in my gallbladder that where almost turning into cancer. I cannot say enough about him. Thank you

Dr Pena is fine, but the inability of a 70+ year old to get a nose spray prescription called in to pharmacy without an office visit is wrong in this age of covid. I really don’t need to be stuck in a waiting room with sick people just to get nasal spray.

Hubby & I've been patients of Dr. William Pena for a few years, & I can not say enough about him. When a patient goes to a doc, they have to wait hrs, & then again in the room, & then, doc comes in &, a few pokes/prods & 2 minutes later, he's gone. Dr. Pena comes in with a smile & a laptop & takes his time going over your results, your overall health & tells you what you can do to improve this or that, & praises you when you've improved here or there. He explains everything & answers everything you ask. And, if he doesn't have an answer, he looks it up with you right there so you can leave with an answer. He is compassionate, kind, patient, & literally the BEST & smartest doctor we've ever had or ever encountered. He's so good that when we switched insurance, we exclusively chose the plan HE was on. The downside is he's so good, getting an appt is hard, but worth the wait. If you're looking for a doc you will never wanna lose, go see Dr. WILLIAM PENA, in Pembroke Pines.

Dr. Is simply the BEST. He treats you like family, listens and never rushes you. He fully explains in details and makes recommendations for your well being. I LOVE him so and do not mind waiting at all, because I fully trust him. He is a wonderful Doctor.

Dr. Pena is just the best, however his phone staff is the worst. You can try to reach them for a referral or refill of RX and it takes hours and they still get it wrong. The only good thing about Cano Medial services is Dr. Pena!

I have been with Dr. Peña for over a year and he is a wonderful dedicated doctor. He went over my blood work line by line, explaining how it affect and what to do about it. Action plan, medications and follow up. Be aware that he is a super busy doctor because he does this will ALL his patients so YES, the wait time to see his is hours behind, and the appointments also are months away. I dont care about this and I get either weekend appointments or late during the day. Please dont blame the staff for your long wait.

We chose Dr. Pena for his experience and reviews and we tried to become in his new patients. However, we did not have the oportunity to experience with him due to his irresponsable staff did not respect our apointment (May 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM), scheduled from early March 2019. His staff informed us we would have to wait for at least 3 or 4 hours. This is unaceptable, considering we are employees and need to come back to work. We don't know if Dr. Pena knows about this type of situation with his staff but he should do something to fix. We understand that like new patients we would need to wait a few times, such as one hour maximum, but 3 or 4 hours is definetely unaceptable. Miramar, Fl

His office holding me hostage for my cholesterol medication forcing me to go in for visit when I had one less than one year ago. Explained to his office I have high deductible plan and could not afford multiple visits and lab work just to renew basic prescription yet they continue to refuse. Now am out of medication due to their greed and will find new doctor who cares more for my heath than earning fees.

Dr. Pena is the best doctor you could ever find, without any exaggeration. Especially in South FL where standards are generally much lower. He is extremely competent, knowledgeable, humane and caring. Dr. Pena spends all the time each patient needs with them without looking at the watch, hence be prepared for longer wait but it’s absolutely worth it. Dr. Pena takes time to listen to his patients and then go into every necessary detail to explain the condition and proposed treatment. Incredible person and doctor, highly recommend to everyone.
