This place is unbelievable in their practice of overbooking appointments and having people wait 3+ hours. We’ve been here 3x and it has been the same every time. 99% of the people who come here need a driver which makes for 2 people to sit and wait the most ridiculous wait times I’ve ever seen. Talk about money hungry doctors shoveling in at least 15 too many patients in one day. A complete disregard for people’s time and perhaps money if they had to pay someone to bring them.

I believe Dr. Baranano was a knowledgeable physician but her bedside manner was horrible. She was jerking my elderly father by shoulders to move him. He has severe arthritis. She was condescending and asked me to stop talking so she could finish. Will not go back to her. I’ll find my dad another specialist.

Went with my dad to this office. We waited in an overflowing waiting room for over an hour. Called him back 45 minutes after appointment time. If you have time to spare and don't mind standing in an over capacity waiting room, this is the office for you. The lack of consideration for their patient's time is astonishing.

As a United States Merchant Marine Officer, I work very hard and my vision is critical. I find it very disappointing that a Dr. here who only comes in on some Fridays, can not accommodate or accept the fact that our schedules will not always sync up and the practice would choose to drop me as a patient all together…A very poor choice in my opinion! I don’t even know if the Dr is aware that his staff has done this. I am now awaiting my next referral. Hopefully someone who understands that I simply cannot be home at their convenience.

Dr. Ahmet Ozkok MD, was very kind,knowable,professional, patient, accessible to me and my husband many times before and after the surgery appointment. Everyone on the staff was friendly and willing to help. After the surgery, His staff Pensacola and Gulf Breeze locations was still willing to go out of there way to assist with extra work that was needed. I like the convenience of being able to go to either office. My extra work forms was completed by the Gulf Breeze office This extra work was because of my job wanting to have more detailed medical accommodation paperwork. It was handled with kindness and compassion. I had my completed forms in less than one business day. I have already mentioned this practice to others and would continue to use this practice and specifically Dr. Ahmet Ozkok MD. My surgery, was at the Pensacola office . I have found it out to be true that you don't meet doctors like this very often if at all. I can't say even positive things to express the level of care they offered me and my husband at both offices. Please visit them you will not be disappointed.

Why would you make so many appointments at the SAME TIME? My appointment for my special needs Sister was at 10:35am. We were not seen until 12:30?!?!? This is unacceptable on so many levels! I had to go ask receptionist why are there 20 people waiting for the Dr all at the same time? My Sister was getting very upset and I was very late to work. Shame on you at Retinal Specialists! Just make it first come first serve and stop the insanity of taking appointments! Ridiculous!

I wouldn't give this place any stars. We've been waiting for months for an appointment to get retina operated on and we still don't have one. I don't think they know what they are doing. But they know enough to get their lunch delivered

People, do your research when choosing a doctor. Dr. Gupta has had extensive training, is an innovator in retinal repair technique and sees more retinas in a day than most doctors see in a week! He is a nationally renowned retina specialist. The wait is worth it! 10 Stars! (beside all that he is a good guy!)

I’d highly advise people to be CAUTIOUS of this facility. I was suppose to be a patient of this institution. Recently, I was told (via phone) that I was let go from this place which I found to be extremely shocking. I was suppose to be seen by Dr. Tarantola however had to reschedule twice due to not being allowed off from a new job. I want to be explicitly clear and honest as possible … I have NEVER been deemed a “no call, no show” at this institution. Dr. Tarantola has LIMITED availability, therefore you as a patient are having to work around HIS schedule which is extremely difficult because he is ONLY at this facility on Fridays !! Dr. Tarantola and I have NEVER seen each other. Respectfully, I have called twice to reschedule an appointment due to work. The calls where NOT placed on the day of, they were always AHEAD OF TIME .. again, never the day of !! I’m completely shocked that a doctor would dismiss a patient that they have NEVER SEEN BEFORE from a facility due to rescheduling appointments ahead of time which is what every patient is suppose to do if they are aware that they will not be in attendance at the scheduled appointment. In my opinion (and I assume to others as well), I always thought a “no call, no show” was someone not showing up to their appointments along with not properly notifying the doctors office. This institution and physician lacks empathy and im completely befuddled at this very moment ! Again, I’d advise people to be extremely cautious of this institution and this physician particularly! It’s a underlying contradiction to advise patients to call ahead of time to reschedule an appointment, but hold it against the patient later down the road. This is not something most doctors would do. BE CAUTIOUS !!

First, the staff and doctor are very nice but their scheduling system is way off. We were there 1.5 hours before even being called back. I witnessed 5 people come in within 10 minutes asking for the same doctor. This has to be stressful on everyone and needs to be reevaluated! Everyone’s time is valuable!
