List of Brett Reichwage's Reviews
My husband was scheduled with Dr. Reichwages PA for his initial consult. My husband doesnt handle his medical needs he leaves that to me. There was no time when the PA came in to see him for him to get me on the phone. So afterwards my husband called me and tried to give me the details but we had questions. So we asked the nurse to get the PA back in the room to answer them he told my husband he would return anyway. After a long time waiting I suggested that my husband stick his head out the door and ask would it be much longer. He did and the nurse said that it would be a few minutes but that the notes would have all the info that was discussed. I said that wed wait. Then the nurse said that Dr. Reichwage didnt do video appointments well I said that wed just wait for the PA. Dr. Reichwage was sitting near and listening the whole time then got on the call was very short with me didnt fully answer my questions and didnt say goodbye or anything when he finished.
Dr. Reichwage is an excellent surgeon. He certainly fixed my problems but his MA Teela is one of the rudest most unprofessional medical personnel I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I will NOT be going to him again simply because of her awful attitude She seems to think SHE is the doctor rather than a mere medical assistant. Any direct communication with the doctor regarding follow up questions making follow up appointments or ongoing issues are intercepted by her. She rarely answers her phone sending all messages to voicemail where they die. She has never returned any of my calls
He operated on me in 2016. He came into the room the other day and had NO CLUE WHO I WAS. HE BARELY EXPLAINED ANYTHING AND WAS OUT THE DOOR. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Dr. Reichwage is an excellent surgeon. He certainly fixed my problems, but his MA Teela, is one of the rudest, most unprofessional medical personnel I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I will NOT be going to him again simply because of her awful attitude! She seems to think SHE is the doctor rather than a mere medical assistant. Dr. Reichwage is fantastic! I had surgery in 2013 from another Dr. and I never felt like it helped me. I kept fighting for my health and made it to his office. He ordered more testing and found my problem, that he already suspected. I'm in awe of his expertise and compassion I didn't get from other neurosurgeons. I'm on the mend now from surgery and I'm hoping to get back to a better life of less pain. Jennifer Ramsey his PA, is also fantastic! She took the time to show me my imaging and visited me daily in the hospital. A big thank you is sent to his entire team.
I saw Dr. Reichwage today with my husband. At 69 years old and still trying to stay active with exercise and golf and boating, my lower back pain has been worsening over the past year. I was worried that my large Tarlov cyst at my S2 nerve root was growing and that might be the cause. Dr. R. spent over an hour with me getting the whole history of my back issues. When all was said and done, and after reviewing my MRI and CT scan with me, he told me that the cyst is not the cause. He showed me the L5/S1 disc space and compared it to the discs above. It’s very degenerated after my 1996 discectomy. He is sending me for a discogram to determine if that’s the source of the pain. If it is, he may recommend fusion of L5/S1.Bottom line is this...he is very thorough, a terrific listener (he never interrupted me), and he will tell you real quick after getting the facts, if he can help you with surgery. He is A SURGEON! He will NOT offer surgery if he thinks it won’t help the pain. He has a great sense of humor, but he does not suffer fools for long. If you think you are going there to get him to give you prescription pain meds, you will not like him. He makes his decision on care from the evidence he has (MRI and CT scans). If the evidence isn’t there, then he won’t prescribe surgery or meds or whatever it is you came there for.I love these characteristics in a doctor. If you need him, he makes the time. I am sure the people that were waiting for him in the waiting room were not happy that he made them wait. But I can assure you that if you are a patient that needs his time, he will give it to you too. But if not, you may be disappointed. So please don’t waste his time so that he can give it to the patients like me who have complicated issues that need his expertise. Dr. R. Is a REAL DOCTOR with training and experience like few others in our area. I respect him and will be quick to take his advice about surgery or no surgery after he gets the results of the discogram. He deserves my respect.
Dr Reichwage is very honest and will not do an unnecessary surgery on you. I believe him to be very honest and truthful which is so much more than I can say for some doctors. He told me to get ablation for my back and that he did not recommend surgery at this time. I did have trouble with getting an appointment thru his staff. I told him about the problem when I was there. I think he was going to speak with them. He did ask me questions about his staff. I'm pretty sure he corrected the problem.
I had an initial appointment with Dr. Reichwage today 5 Feb. 2020. I waited no more than five mins. in the outer waiting area upon completion of my new patient novel and another five before Dr. Reichwage showed up. I found him to be young confident attentive and he listened to what I had to say although Im pretty sure he knew my options before he ever entered the exam room. I liked him I liked his staff and Im pretty certain Ill choose Dr. Reichwage to perform the surgery he recommends. As mentioned earlier this was my initial appointment with Dr. Reichwage hence So Far So Good. I will certainly provide an update as my neurological saga progresses.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
