EDIT: If I wouldn’t have asked questions my father could’ve potentially died. He had an 99% blocked artery and a stent had collapsed. Yet this Dr. Was trying to say it was just Acid Reflux! Absolutely horrible bedside manner! Does not like to answer question then gets offensive rushes out the ER room and says loudly “cancel everything” and tried discharging within seconds then realizes there was a communication error between the nurse and him then he quickly wanted to admit my father in the hospital. I would NEVER recommend this DR to anybody!

Horrible bedside manner. Speaks at patients and not to patients. Very dramatic for a Doctor. He has a lot of growing up to do for a 45 year old. He probably should have chosen a profession that he doesn't need to work directly with the public. Just my meager opinion.
Delvon Ferguson, DO is insensitive to patients, makes fun of patients when explaining health issues/symptoms. He SHOULD NOT be treating patients at Sacred Heart ER or any other hospital. He is condescending and cruel toward patients-no bedside manner as mentioned in other patients negative reviews.
I fell and gashed my head so I cannot determine whether or not this review will be accurate or not; however, that being said, Dr. Ferguson saw me quickly and his bedside manner was better than most other doctors. He explained everything he planned to do and I liked his demeanor and his attitude. I was weary of him initially but by the time I left the Emergency Room, I felt comfortable and pleased with my experience at Sacred Heart today. Thank you health care providers! I appreciate y'all... the EMT's (Danielle & 1her comrade), Dr. Ferguson, the Cat scan lady and especially Margo for taking care of me. I'm so glad I chose Sacred Heart. (It's much, MUCH Better than West Florida). Thank you for being so professional and so understanding and compassionate. Truly, the very best hospital that I have been too.
Dr. Ferguson does not think outside of a tiny ER box and has a horrific bedside manner. He did not looked at the medical history provided to him, and when the ER tests did not show obvious cause for the symptoms presented he literally laughed at us and blew off the symptoms -- which have been the subject of extensive testing and under the management of a neurologist for 3 months -- as anxiety. I have never in my entire life seen a doctor laugh at a patient. His arrogance was disgusting. I am just appalled by Dr. Ferguson. He has a lot of growing up to do as a doctor, if his arrogance does not prevent him from taking a critical look at himself and how he treats people. I feel sorry for the future patients that get caught in his learning curve.
The idiot didn’t even diagnose me right I went in after almost being hit by a car and landed on a part of my chest that had issues painful issues(!btw I didn’t even accept the pain meds when I went in for a blood clot last month) so not a drug seeker but even told him I’m not worried about these scratches on my eyebrow and elbows (that didn’t even require stitches) yet he diagnosed me as a head trauma patient that didn’t loose continence bcuz I had little scratch on my eyebrow that had already stopped bleeding by the time i got there he did nothing to actually try n help me for the actual chest reason I was there for and what he even told me about that was false and then told me it was my fault that I had this genetic disformation and knew nothing after two very expensive non important tests he sent me home with the wrong diagnoses and basically treated me like a concusion victim he’s an idiot literally the paperwork I got from him is a worse version than the print off from web MD if I could give half a star I would... and he didn’t even clean the wounds (scratches) my quess is that was all he knew how to do n he even messed that up just like the I had to ask for a rag to try n wash them what exactly did I pay for ... don’t go See him with kidney stones or heart attack and accidentally cut itself shaving he’ll diagnose u as a head trauma victim bcuz when they do that they get to order an expensive test and 4 pieces of paper telling u everything any google search will tell u about head injuries .... but he’s not even an MD he’s a DO I wonder why there isn’t a WEB DO oh that’s right it’s called web MD if I’m payin out of pocket for my healthcare I actually want the healthcare part not something I could have done from home

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
