Dr. James Boone's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Boone played an integral role in saving my life. He was the first person on this planet that I was able to talk to about my story and addiction. I am forever grateful for Dr. Boone, the la Hacienda staff, and the work of God in this treatment center.

I just found the Adams Morgan Animal Hospital on 18th Street. And both me & my beloved former feral cat could not be happier. Although this former homeless mother is now a princess she has left over health issues from her former life. Our previous trips for treatment have been professional but left her frightened and uneasy. She has cried loudly upon release and exited her travel carrier in a panic rush followed by nervous inspection of her home as if to see if all was still as she left it. Yesterday she emerged with dignity looking as if the whole experience had been a welcomed trip. What had the team at Adams Morgan done? I don't really know. But Toi Toi did. She feels much better, thank you, and must have sensed a caring place where she was treated with the respect she deserves. I liked Dr Boone and all the staff but trust her to know this is the place we will return to next time she needs health care.

Dr. Boone is accessible, approachable and willing to discuss problems, issues and hurdles that he wants to leap over. He is engaging and most importantly, he is knowledgeable in his field and never acts like he is the smartest person in the room, when he probably is.

Don't live in DC but needed a travel certificate for my dog. Everyone was nice, the vet was great with my dog and if I lived here, I would come back often.

Great veterinarian! Just saw him for the first time at Adams Morgan Animal Hospital and it was amazing. He was thorough, kind, knowledgeable and was more about the pet than the money!!

I was a patient at La Hacienda and Dr. Boone made a tremendous difference in my life. I've been out 8 months and every day I think about how grateful I am that he allowed me to mainly be seen by him.

Totally love Dr. Boone--see my reviews for Adams Morgan Animal Hospital. He is great with animals and has such a nice southern warmth. He's also extremely communicative via telephone (post-surgery) or when your pet is in their care and will always take the time to explain various options and the costs involved. My 16 and a half year old dog is lucky to have Dr. Boone just a few blocks away!

This man is the best doctor I have EVER seen! He saved my life, helping me conquer a prescription addiction. He is the most caring physician I have ever met!

I think Dr. Boone is a nice person and I regret having to give such a low review, but he discouraged me from getting a biopsy of a group of lumps my cat had on her ribcage - saying it would be stressful for an older cat. The lumps turned out to be cancerous although he did not think they were -- and by the time I had gotten the biopsy it was too late to help her.

I love Dr. Boone! My cat had a gigantic abscess, and was on her way out, but Dr. Boone said he'd give it a go. He was in surgery for over an hour working on the poor dear, and she had a difficult two-week recovery period, but in the end she pulled through and has continued to live a happy life.From several conversations with him, about my own cat and about a friend's very ill dog, it is clear that he stays current with research developments, and is willing to try new procedures. But he is also very realistic, and will not waste your time, money or emotions if the odds are tremendously against you. And I really appreciate that.Dr. Boone is one of Adams Morgan Animals Clinics biggest assets.
