I can not believe I haven't reviewed MY FAVORITE Dr. She has treated me for 32 years and shes just as willing & wanting to help me today as she was the first day me and my parents walked into her office.. She is 💯% all in when it comes to finding the right regimen for each and every individual patient she treats . She is so very thorough in the investigative chemistry labs, scans and additional testing she performs . I can promise she will get you the answers you’re in search for & if she can’t she will eagerly do referrals. Rheumatology can be a little complex & honestly be “a lot” for a physician to invest their time in especially as a patient ages. Diagnosis and symptoms tend to begin clustering off of each other making your case a little more complicated . She lives for this & is always up for the challenge . I was 4 years old when I was diagnosed with JRA. My mothers instincts knew that something was just not right . Dr McKnight is that Dr that sits down with you & she really listens to you in a judgment free zone. She truly cares about your health and wants to help you in this journey. Having an invisible disease is one of the hardest things for others to comprehend and understand. We often are in a fake it till you make it state because it is an invisible Illness & we’ve heard half our life that we look and act fine , so we subconsciously have a mindset to hide from it too. The day we found Dr Ellen Winters McKnight many prayers had been answered that we’d find the right Dr and that we did . We had been to different specialist, children’s hospitals referring us to other children’s hospitals in different states . She sits down, she takes her time & she is so focused on each and everything you share with her . She helps you to understand the easily misunderstood invisible illness that’s impacting and challenging your everyday life . I know this was quiet lengthy. If you can get in with her consider it one of life’s biggest blessings.
I've been seeing Dr McKnight for 4-5 years. She listens! She's focused! She will spend time and help figure out what's going on. She is consistently an amazing doctor. Staff is knowledgeable and professional. Thank you for what you do! I would highly recommend her.

I am so disappointed, I can't see Dr McKnight because I'm on Medicare. She had been my Dr before.
She listened to my history with compassion and asked relevant questions. She gave sage advice and is open to adjunct therapies.
Dr McKnight and the staff are amazing! I know I am on the right track and have the right care and each day I am improving since I have started seeing her!!
I would Not see this doctor. She is Not to be trusted! Do yourself a favor and keep looking. Any at front desk will convince you this is the wrong doctor. They are rude and absolutely do Not have your best interest in mind. Find some who cares!!
I waffled on leaving this review for a year. In my experience, this doctor is great at what she knows. But she didn’t seem to do well with keeping up with newer diseases or handling cases outside an established vein. She has a great bedside manner when she is fully present. The 2 assistants (if they’re still there) can also have a really nice touch when they want to… but be prepared to self advocate. When they push back, they really like twisting your words against you, which I find really nasty. Happened to me, but I also saw an assistant do it to a patient in the lobby during a visit. According to Google, fatigue is a common issue in rheumatology. Fun fact: fatigue affects your memory and concentration. i don’t think it’s right to weaponize that against a patient bc you don’t want to deal with them. Assistants can really make or break a practice. In all, I learned a lot about my health and what care works for me, but I would recommend anyone seeing her to have a backup plan.
Dr. Ellen McKnight is GENUINELY CARING, warm, flexible and professional. She thoroughly tested & helped me. Office manager will not bill, instead canceling my appt after I arrived, since required full payment upfront before seeing MD but the MD is worth it. Not refilling Rx's after 3 months but idk their policy until I go back. Dr McKnight is wonderful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
