List of George Knefely's Reviews
Dr. Knefely is very easy to talk to, he shows an interest in you as a person, not just as a patient. He answers all your questions and he has a good sense of humor. I would recommend him to my family and friends. I have been going to him for over 40 years.
Saw Dr Knefley and wrote me a script. Said make an appointment for 3 months. I did as directed. Script said take 1 to 3 tablets a day. I took 3 a day and he questioned why. I told his desk clerk "thats the way he wrote it. On top of that, she flat out called me a liar saying the appointment was 3 weeks, not months. Wonder why her system showed 3 months? She is the list. Stay far away from this antiquated Dr. He should retire. His desk clerk should shut her 99 yr old trap. Worse Dr. and Dr. office I have EVER been to.
Caring, knowledgeable, efficient. A visit with Dr. Knefley is as comfortable as a conversation with an old trusted friend.
Were in our 50's, moved to P'Cola area from Houston, where by the way there is an outstanding medical community. We were quite disappointed in the P'Cola G.P.'s we tried, poor scheduling, no follow ups awful efficiency on part of office staff's. Dr.s seemed rushed, appointment time in waiting room exceeded by far time spent with actual physician, ordered unnecessary tests ect. My wife and I tried several recommended G.P.'s and were to the point after 8 yrs, where we figured we would have to settle. Then by luck we were referred to Dr. Knefely. The office is "old school" right from the 70's however it is clean with sufficient parking out front and plenty of seating in the waiting room. THE OFFICE: Its run by Donna. From a patient's vantage, Donna runs a very efficient office. Appointment scheduling is quick and accommodating- and I've never waited more than maybe 5 min past my apt time to be seen by the Dr. Call backs and follow-ups are always timely and complete. Donna and her small staff go the extra mile for me every time. Even when other doctors dont forward records or tests requested I have come to find Donna persists to get the transfer completed. They also keep me apprised of what's going on. Insurance billing always handled throughly. Coodo's to Donna for such a well run office. Dr. KNEFLEY: Caring, through, knowledgeable and undistracted. Talking with Dr. Knefley is comfortable, akin to talking with a trusted friend. On my visits my time was spent with Dr. Knefley, not a P.A., and the Dr.'s time during my visits has been exclusively mine as he was not jumping from room to room. Dr. Knefley took the time to uncover my concerns and explains his understanding of my condition and recommendations in a way that is throughly understandable. While he has referred me to a specialist when needed he does not seem to be one to order unnecessary tests or referals. While working out of state ( I often do ) I have called Dr Knefley about new medical concerns and he has helped me make treatment decisions to assist me before I can return for a office visit. With out hesitation I can recommend Dr. Knefley as an excellent G.P.
Visiting this doctor is like going back in time. A time when a doctor sat with a patient for over an hour to discuss their conditions. He is kind, patient and caring. He makes my mom feel cared for. A great doc for geriatric patients.
I WAS A NEW PATIENT MANY MONTHS AGO, AND IN MAKING THE APPT I WAS NEVER TOLD THAT I WOULD NEED A FULL EXAM. AT THE TIME OF CHECK IN AND BEING GIVEN A ROOM TO AWAIT THE DR I WAS TOLD TO FULLY UNDRESS AS I WAS TO HAVE A COMPLETE EXAM. THIS WAS QUITE A SHOCK AND UNEXPECTED. WHY CAN'T DRS TELL YOU WHAT TO EXPECT AND TALK WITH YOU FIRST ASKING YOUR INPUT AS TO TREATMENT, MEDS, AND EXAMS.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
