List of George Rees's Reviews
I didn't have insurance at the time and I was having stomach issues and I had a hyda scan saying that my gallbladder was not functioning and I was referred to George Rees and he wouldn't take my gallbladder out and just wanted to do more test which I didn't have insurance so I couldn't afford this. So long story short I paid cash to see him $202.OO and I still got a bill from him wanting more money $133.00 more and he didn't do anything for me. I had to find another surgeon and then had my gallbladder removed and I am doing 100% better and have gained my weight I lost back. But this review is because I needed help and he didn't help me. The surgeon that took out my gallbladder couldn't believe that he wouldn't help me. I was so sick with a rotten gallbladder.
Dr. Rees and his staff are wonderful people who took extra time with me to answer my questions and assuage my fears. My surgery went well, too, which really is the most important part.
Dr. Rees seems to be a good doctor. However, Dawn Griffith, the Medical Assistant/Surgery Scheduler is terrible and doesn't do her job. After my visit with the doctor Dawn Griffith came in to schedule my surgery. I told her the date that I wanted and she said she would get it scheduled and call me the next day to confirm. I waited 3 days and never heard from her. When I called her she didn't have any idea about the date we had discussed. I gave her the date again and she said the surgical center would be closing for the day soon and she would call them the next morning and schedule the surgery and call me to confirm the time. Twelve days have passed and I have not heard from her on anyone else in the office. I'm going somewhere else to have the hernia surgery.
I was referred to Dr. Rees from Baptist Health care on 9 mile road. He was very thorough and advised me that a surgery was unnecessary that I really didn’t have a problem. But I was concerned because I had a lump under the skin in my chest. He explained everything to me and I chose to have it removed because an acquaintance of mine had recently died from a cancerous lump. I like this man as a person and as a doctor and if I have to have surgery again this is the man I will call.
Omar abed fraudulently commented on medical and surgical care as if it was my post. It was not my statement or post. Please direguard his maliciously febal attempt to discredit in slanderous manner personal circumstances that are not his concern. I personally have made no such public forum statements on social media against Baptist surgical group. Thank you , sincerely, judy lilly.
Sometime in 2015 Judy Lilly needed an operation and had a surgery done. Come to find out a cap and gauze was forgotten and she was closed. It was not known for 18 months. Judy Lilly filed a lawsuit for over 2 million, under the agreement she would not speak of it, and it would not be opened records. It is my opnion that all doctors should be held accountable. I will keep you updated on the outcome.
I will never go back Dr Reese. I went in to be checked for a hernia. He wanted to have a female Dr. in training in her early twenties come in and give me an exam. When I told him I was uncomfortable with that he got mad and spent less than one minute in the room with me. He was very a upset. He told me to back to my original doctor, but still charged me a 75 dollar copay for doing absolutely nothing. I will never go back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
