I have my role in while gastric bypass done in February 2006 it is now January 2023 I waited almost 400 lbs and lost weight down to 200 lb have been able to keep it off. The only side effect from me having the procedure was that I developed gallbladder disease which that is to be expected in it was fixed. I guess store in Rolla gist has looked at my pouch and said that is still the original size from when I had my pouch is the same size from original.

My sister went in to surgery expecting a Roux-en-Y procedure. After 14 years of stomach issues and no more than 80 pounds weight loss, she has found out that she had a screwed up gasroplasty procedure. John Nye is not fit to be called a surgeon but is an insurance fraud. I wouldn't let him operate on anyone I know again.

After 15 months of repeated office visits, 3 EGDs, complaints, and getting the same info from year before, I changed Doctors and after new Doctors EGD - found out that original surgery was botched. New doctor having to correct.

The best of the best! Has had my life in his hands more than once and would do it again without hesitation! Professional but not without loosing that human touch! Very knowledgable in more than his "speciality" field! Love him and love his staff!

He and staff are very knowledgeable with the bypass and insurance companies. Sometimes it takes a while to get called into the office for my appt, but that is because he spends as much time with his patients as they need. He is very busy, but doesn't rush you out the door.
