I met Dr. Schurman by random good luck during an incoming hurricane when diverticulitis perforated my intestine and would have quickly killed me had a less competent surgeon appeared instead of her. She diagnosed and immediately performed the necessary surgery to remove the ruptured portion and had the wisdom to create a temporary colostomy for three months to give everything adequate time to heal before restoring original functioning. She saved my life and has now put me back together. I am forever grateful to her and she has my highest recommendation. She inspires confidence.

Saw her to remove 2 cancer tumors from my arm. She said she like to have a plastic surgeon to help her if not she would remove the tumors. Since she couldn’t find a plastic surgeon to help that had my insurance she now say she will not remove the tumors after she says she will. I will not recommend her to no one!

Just got my hernia repaired two days ago. The worst pain I've ever been through in my life. I was sent home about 45 minutes after my surgery. I called to ask about coping with pain and how the pain medication they prescribed me isn't working- making me sick headaches etc and they do not care at all.
