I see Dr. Owera or Nikki Kelley NP at DW McMillan every 2 weeks and they are as caring and compassionate and professional as anyone I've ever met. And if I could I'd like to say a word about DW McMillan outpatient,they too are amazing they have made a very difficult situation seem a lot easier to handle.( Stage 4 stomach cancer) Taking Chemo and so far so good, got a good report from my last PET SCAN. Thank GOD. As far as the Woodlands I feel the same way they have always been kind,compassionate and very professional. I THANK GOD FOR EACH OF THEM.

I had the worst experience with Dr Oweara today he spent less than five minutes with me. Could care less about me, or what I had to say, stood by the door, as if he couldn’t stand to be in the room, wouldn’t/ couldn’t (didn’t even try) answer two questions that I had and walk out the door saying he had another patient and that he would refer me to whoever I want. The nurse came back into the room and saw that I was in tears and look concerned and asked the doctor if he could come back and see me and he told her no, and gave no reason behind it. Please don’t go see him. You will be sorely disappointed, and you will learn nothing from him and you will feel like garbage walking out of his office.

After going to many doctors, Dr. Owera finally diagnosed me correctly. He has been professional ,comforting, and has provided me with all the necessary care to keep me in remission. He has provided comfort to me and my family. I would recommend him to anyone needing his services!

My mother's cancer came back after 15 years remission but had metastasized. Her cancer surgeon, Dr. Patrick Dial, referred her to Dr Owera at Woodlands and we couldn't be any happier with this referral. Dr Owera along with the entire Woodlands Cancer Team are exceptional, well organized and has been the best medical experience. Dr Owera is very personable, straight forward and takes his time reviewing patient's records and offering the best available treatment options based upon the patient. Mom is now on the way to recovery and we are very happy with her treatment.

Great doctor

Dr. Owera saved my life. Can a person say more about a doctor than that? Absolutely!! Dr. Owera is a kind and caring doctor. I went through eight rounds of Chemotherapy with the doctors’ guidance. It wasn’t all well received. At one point I became very ill and Dr. Owera was there to be sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. He was encouraging and compassionate. Just recently I had to change my health insurance, and he was the main reason I chose the one I did. I chose it because Woodlands Medical Specialist accepts the insurance I now have. He knows what he is doing and with a cancer diagnosis you want someone with years of experience.

The staff is very friendly and professional. Dr Owera is very caring and very knowledgeable. Takes time to listen and explain your care.

Treated professionally, personally, and socially politely. Pleased that the physicians there speak to patients with respect and concern.
