I was very surprised....I was scared...they are all very friendly and loving...they all at woodlands are so caring...they show love respect...I was blessed to be able to go there....Dr.Owera ...he is great...he is very compassionate...very friendly...very caring...if you didn't understand what he was saying he broke it down so you can understand.. he is a great doctor...he treats you like a friend not just his patient...

I've been a patient of Dr Owera for over 6 years now. As a newly diagnosed cancer patient (and RN), I did a lot of research about my cancer treatment protocols before meeting him. One of the first things he told me was that he followed the acceptable NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancer Network) protocols for treatment of my cancer. I immediately felt comfortable and confident in his care. He has never failed to listen to my concerns and has often discussed with me his recommendations for follow up scans and tests and makes a big effort to accommodate my wishes for my own peace of mind. His nurse, Yolanda, is a true gem and is a huge comfort, support, and advocate during my care and follow up.

Dr Owera is the Best. Dr Owera and his team really do care about you. Yolanda (nurse) is an Angel.

My appointment was to discuss the results of my PET scan to see if the chemo drugs got rid of my metastasis. I have been seeing Dr Owera since 2015 for Ovarian cancer. As you can imagine, giving someone bad news can certainly affect your day and I really feel for all the doctors in this department. Dr Owera takes the time to explains my situation and what our game plan will be. Fortunately this last visit was a good one!

I am very grateful to have Dr. Owera as my oncologist. He is compassionate, always listen to my questions, he cares about my health. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. Owera is an amazing doctor and person. He is very good at explaining what to expect and giving a person hope. I have complete faith in him and his abilities. He listens to my concerns and takes time to answer questions. He understands that people who come in to his office for the first time are probably afraid and confused. He is able to calm their fears and and help them work through their confusions. I will recommend him to anyone who needs a oncologist.

I like Dr. Owera and staff. My only criticism is the long wait times for the lab and to be seen.

The entire team is simply amazing. EVERYONE takes the time and and makes the effort to make you feel like you are the only patient they have. The care provided is exceptional, and all aspects of the treatment can be accomplished at one location. There should be a rating for 5 star +++

My journey began in February 2020 when I was diagnosed renal cell carcinoma. I had a 10 cm tumor attached to my left kidney. Until that diagnosis, at 61 years old, I had been in perfect health. I’ve eaten healthy and worked out all my life. Needless to say the diagnosis was devastating. After my initial diagnosis I met with physicians at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida for a second opinion. They said, “There's no need for surgery. You need to get your affairs in order. You have between 11 to 36 months to live. We’ll do our best to make you comfortable to the end. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news.”I returned to my physicians at The Woodlands, Dr. Jeff Wolters and Dr. Rami Owera, because they encouraged me and came up with a treatment plan that gave me hope.A week later, Dr. Wolters removed the kidney and the tumor. It was very apparent that he is an excellent surgeon and he did a great job. Since my cancer had metastasized into my lymph nodes I started seeing Dr. Owera. He has coordinated my entire treatment plan. But, I have still consulted with doctors at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Duke Cancer Center in Durham, North Carolina, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. After a year and a half of treatment and doctor visits, it has become very clear that Dr. Wolter’s and Dr. Owera are two of the very best in their respective fields, and they are very well respected among their peers all over the county. Another close friend of mine, a physician and cancer patient of Dr. Owera’s too, refers to Dr. Owera as a “Rockstar”. I was willing to travel anywhere in the world for the best medical care, but I have discovered there is no need to go any further than The Woodlands right in Pensacola, Florida. I am receiving excellent care from Dr. Owera and Dr. Wolters and their wonderful staffs. We are fortunate to have world class healthcare right here in Pensacola at The Woodlands. I want to thank Dr. Owera and Dr. Wolters for saving my life, giving me hope and always being available when needed. I am expecting my first grandchild in March of 2022. Thanks to these two men I expect that I will be here to welcome this child into the world. I look forward to being a grandfather.Jimmy Alan Scott, Ed.D
