Discharge papers show that I went to ER due to a fall. Since XRay showed nothing was broken, she sent me home over my objection. I did NOT go to ER for a fall. I had a severe sciatica attack and my left leg collapsed. I couldn't walk. I asked for a referral to a rehabilitation center. I got a referral to a highly qualified orthopedic surgeon who is a specialist in Hands and other upper body extremities...for sciatica.

Brought my stepfather in with reoccurring issues from April 28th visit at Wfl ER. Nurses were great but Dr. Stephanie Taunton was the worst example of etiquette, empathy, Courtesy and professionalism in dealing with patient and concerned family member. As a caregiver, she was demeaning, abrasive, unattentive to my concerns/observations of my 92 year old stepfather. I have worked in the medical field for 1/2 my life and have never seen a more disgusting portrayal of any medical professional let alone a physician. This is the last insufficiency from this institution I and my family members will experience. Dr. Taunton, go back to school, any school to learn manners, courtesy, respect and kindness for your patients and caregivers.

I hated that I had to meet Dr. Taunton in the emergency room at West Florida Hospital, but I was very very happy that she was my doctor on March 9th, 2019. She was extremely thorough. She ran me through all kinds of tests to make sure that everything was okay. She went over everything in detail with me and my fiancé. A top notch doctor in my opinion.
