Did not explain serious risks of surgery in detail before done. Simply said "it doesn't always work". I should have been more aggressive with questions but thought it was a usual "disclaimer" . Did not know mesh could rot/erode/and become infected until too late.Only works part time so unavailable a lot and nurse very rude and unkind when trying to get information. Office staff also refused my request for records. Told me to 'ask Doctor". When I asked her to write down type of mesh, she said "I think prolift". I went to another OB/GYN and was told all the mesh for prolapse surgery was eroded and infected (after 2 rounds of antibiotics).
