This doctor does not care if she fills the medications for patients for doctors she is covering for while they are out of the office, and doesn’t work with the nurse to have prescriptions filled on time. Clearly the other 1 star reviews with Dr. Downs and Kali are for good reason.

Great doctor, great office.

I love Dr Downs she’s very kind and sweet. She puts up with me lol. I drive 2.5 hours just to keep her as my primary she is the best

Five years ago the dr and office was the best in town. Not so much anymore. Now the staff tells the dr what to do. We discussed treatment plan with dr and all agreed. That is until staff said no. Then dr changed and said we needed specialist. Same specialist she said we didn't need when he was part of their office. Staff lies and deflects. Rude and nasty to parients. Like we're a bother to them for being sick. I found a wonderful primary doctor whose office runs right. Wish a changed at first red flag instead of waiting.

Dr. Down kick me to the curve because I haven't seen her since 2019. I normal don't get sick, but I got hit with Covid and was down to the ER and they want me to follow up with my primary care doctor cause my sugar was high and my blood pressure was up, so I ask Dr. Down could I come in soon as possible cause the ER Dr. only gave me so many pill. I was very polite to the young ladies on the phone but I did tell them and persist my urgency of seeing Dr Down to be reevaluated to prescribe something for my sugar. Her nurse call me back Crystal and said because I'm causing such a problem being persistent about my medicine and my sugar being high when I don't have medicine to bring it down(Sugar glucose 400 - 500) that Dr Down doesn't want to do business with me anymore and I am no longer a patient. I am still shocked and I don't truly understand because I wasn't rude I was very pleasant and I didn't get loud. Even after she told me that Dr Down except for me to go find another primary care doctor. I say " okay thank you, bit she doesn't want me as a patient anymore and she said no". I still said Thank you, I guess if you decide that you don't want to go to the doctor every month and pay for prescriptions every month to put money in her pocket every second. If you get sick or something the doctor can just kick you to the curb this is crazy times, doctors don't even cure you anymore, they just give you something to help the symptoms anyway. It's all about the money these days. Back in the day a doctor didn't even get paid unless you were cured. Lol😆

Listens to patients, you don't feel rushed or like she has other things she needs to do. Very caring

Dr. Downs will always take the time to listen to you and with give you the best options. Down to earth and sweet!

I have been a patient here for years. In September of 2021 I had a heart attack. In and out of hospital 4 times since then. In January of 2022 I had heart surgery. I was in need of medication refills and left a few voicemails atop portal messages. Never received a reply but one via just recently via portal asking me to verify my address. I did so and asked again, what about my medications? No reply. I then called the office and s/w Crystal who was very nice. She took my message and within a few minutes I received a call from Kali, the nurse. She advised me that I have been discharged due to no show appts. I never no show an appt, however she did not care to listen to my side or explanation. She reported a discharge letter was sent back in November, but returned. So, no one picks up the phone to advise? Another letter was not sent out? Just assume all is well and wait until the patient has heart surgery and calls in herself for medication refills she has been asking for for over amnth

DR Downs is the best physician. She is so intelligent and does not overreact and is always proactive. Always gets back to questions.

Worst Experience ever! Mostly intended for the receptionist that answers the telephone for Dr Downs. ALWAYS very short, curt and rude. Has no time or patience to listen to any call. Today 22 Dec 2020 I reached this person and was told that "they got stuck holding the bag with my 87 year old mothers insurance and it did not cover her. I responded my mother is a person not a bag. Was attempting a follow up after release from Gulf Shores Rheab for positive covid. Dr Downs need to let this person go find another line of work please.
