List of Alexander Poisik's Reviews
Dr. Poisik is a highly skilled doctor with a wonderful "bedside" manner and an extremely helpful staff. I'm still in the initial recovery period after extensive cervical spine surgery and so looking forward to my continuing improvement under his care.
Dr. Poisik is knowledgeable, skilled, personable and a wonderful, caring surgeon. My recovery from extensive cervical spine surgery is going better than expected. I'm so pleased with all my dealings with Dr. Poisik and his staff!!!
Had a subdural hematoma. Dr. Poisik and team took less than .5 hr to surgically repair affected area. Felt great the next day following the procedure. No residual pain. 100% recovery of muscle control and mental clarity. Westside Regional staff took excellent care during my entire stay. Cannot say enough of how much I appreciated the skill and care that I received. Highly recommend contacting Dr. Poisik for neuro related issues.
glad to had him as he save my life
I had a spinal fusion (TLIF) L5-S1 with Dr.Poisik in June 2021, i’ve been dealing with sciatica and chronic back pain for 7 years! 2 weeks post op and my pain level is ZERO! Dr. Poisik is God sent! He truly loves his job and is dedicated to his patients. I love how he sits down with you and speaks at eye level and he reassures you that everything is going to be okay and explains EVERYTHING! Dr. Poisik is very smart, confident, and he wants the very best for his patients! His surgical coordinator Lucy was More than helpful from insurance to my anxiety! I am 29 and I have my life back! Thank you Thank you thank you to Dr. Poisik.
My daughter had an accident in 2015 in which her L5/S1 disc was herniated causing severe sciatic pain down her thigh to her calf and she also experienced a burning/tingling sensation in her toes. Her personality had changed because of the everyday constant discomfort. After meeting with other neurosurgeon and she being in the medical field, her decision was Dr. Poisik was the only surgeon she would trust to do such a surgery. Her surgery has been a success and the first day after surgery she said “no more sciatic pain “. We could see that pleasant personality was being restored. It’s been two weeks since surgery and everyday it gets better. Thank God and Dr. Poisik. We thank Dr. Poisik for his care and letting our daughter living her life without pain.
Been dealing with chronic back pain and numbness throughout my leg and foot for the last year. I was advised by my pain management doctor that nothing else could be done to see a neurosurgeon. I was the doctors last patient of the day the doctor spent 5 minutes with me but will bill for 45 minutes and basically told me it was all in my head it’s just inflammation that will correct itself and to go back to my pain management doctor. So I have had inflammation for a entire year and 6 months that’s progressively getting worse, yeah no. No real answers or solutions to my problem, made me feel as if I was wasting his time. Didn’t even bother to look at my documents I brought. I wouldn’t recommend this doctor to anyone. Sadly seeing another woman have a similar experience as myself says alot. Poor patient care!
Spent 5 minutes with me to tell me pain I have been experiencing for a year is all in my head it’s inflammation go back to my pain management doctor. Didn’t spend any time with me or address any of my concerns. Definitely won’t recommend to anyone.
I'm extremely disappointed with this Dr. and his staff. I've being seen him for a year, I have grade 2-3 anterolisthesis of L5-S1, with chronic compression deformity secondary of Spondylolisthesis. All this after a failed spine surgery not done by Dr. Poisik, done in another state. I do have other rheumatology medical conditions (RA, connectivetissuedisease, fibromyalgia and Sjogren Syndrome), but I feel that everytime that I see him, he doesn't give me the importance and seriousness of my condition, last time I saw him, he stated I should go to my Rheumatologist so they can order an MRI ofy spine..My question is, is my rheumatologist a neurosurgeon?! My Rheumatologist is aware of my spine condition, but there's nothing she can do about that. Also he suggested I shouldn't touch my spine with any procedure so it doesn't get worse, and questioned my lower back pain, stating its related to my rheumatology conditions, not my actual grade 2-3 anterolisthesis. I think I know exactly where my pain is coming from, because I know exactly where I'm feeling it and how it feels. And anyone that is familiar with grade 2-3 anterolisthesis would know as well. I honestly feel he doesn't want to touch someone else job (my failed surgery). Now I have a follow up appointment with another Dr. within the same facility, hoping to get a better understanding and point of view of my spine condition. My new appointment with the new Doctor was set for a date for the end of the month, that I later switched for an earlier day (at least that's what I was told), because I have a hearimg next week and I really needed my last MRI results. Today I called before driving from Davie to the Margate office, thank God I did, because who ever "set" my appointment when I called to change it, and I even agreed to drive from Davie to Margate because it was the only available appointment, they didn't set anything. I wasn't even told that I needed a new referral due to the change of Doctor, even if it is within the same business/facility. At least I was able to go to the plantation office and pick up my last MRI results so I can forward to the Judge before my hearing. Now I'm back on square one, waiting for that appointment in 2 weeks from now, with such a back pain.
After receivimg decompression / fusion surgery on my lower back, I am able to play golf without pain. I would definitely recommend Dr. Poisik.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
