Excellent Surgeon!!!! He has put me back together a few times.

Dr. Andrew Ellowitz...is a true "healer."

Dr. Ellowitz is an amazing surgeon! We are so blessed we met him. He literally put my little son back on his feet. My son always smiles when he talks about Ellowitz and it means a lot to me. I know he has been in a very good profesional hands. That’s the doctor you are looking for. Below is the pic before the surgery.

Having difficulty walking I thought I needed help with my knee as that was where I thought the pain was. After spending time with Dr. Ellowitz he sent me for x-rays with Judy. Judy was very professional and helpful. Afer reviewing the x-rays and checking for range of motion of my leg, The doctor felt a hip replacement was someting I should consider. He gave me a shot for my knee to see if that would help. After 2 weeks of the pain returning and not improving, I went back to the office to schedule surgery. Again, Dr. Ellowitz went over all the details. Jen was extremely help with all of the things involved and getting me the equipment that was needed. The surgery was as was explained and they get you right up walking. I followed the exercises, walking, and medication that was prescibed. I was walking with just the cane, after giving up the walker, after 2.5 weeks. It is now 8 weeks post surgery and I am back to walking my 5 miles per day without the cane.

I really like the Dr. It's a shame his staff completely incompetent!

Horrible staff

Very nice staff. Dr. Ellowitz listened to my issues. No unnecessary tests, medications, or appointments. Had surgery 11-18-2021. Im healing well.

After my daughter suffered a horrible car accident, Dr Ellowitz was the attending surgeon at the hospital. Dr Ellowitz operated on my daughter's arm and he was AMAZING! We are so fortunate we were assigned him. Her arm is perfect, exactly how he told us it would be. Her scars are minimal and he was kind, concerned and patient!

I'm appalled at the lack of professionalism, disregard of the medical "oath" and callesnous Ellowitz seems to display. I was in a car crash, hit by a drunk driver. He was assigned by the hospital where HE CHOSE to be on staff. He saw me ONCE, the day after I was admitted and in the 6 days I was there, he NEVER came back, answer my calls or follow up with any hospital staff. Both times I called him from the hospital I had explained to reception that I had some questions. The first time I called, the receptionist said she would "text him". The second time I called, 2 days later, Friday @ 2:30 pm, a different receptionist (I could tell not the same woman) told me "he just left for the day" (it wasn't a holiday week-end or known event happening that might explain why a Dr. would leave in the middle of the day during office hours (clearly he wasn't making hospital rounds). And not that it's my business, except that I'm supposed to be his patient and under his care and he could have at least returned THIS call or had set up for an on-call doctor do so. (I know doctors call in to check their messages) I told this woman that I already left a a message 2 days prior, I hadn't seen the Dr. since the first visit (now 4 days later) was being scheduled to transfer to rehab and I still had questions. That receptionist remarked with obvious surprise."You havent seen him?" I went to rehab (still here) and Ellowitz never had the decency, professionalism nor even the common courtesy to EVER call me back. My questions and my care (and his patient) clearly didn't matter to him. (just waiting to be paid, knowing I have good insurance. Well, wait till I see the bill!)) Personally, I find this pathetic, DISGUSTING and sad that a doctor would behave this way, and it constitutes mal (bad) practice. I believe things happen for a reason and it's because I had a much better doctor (in every sense) I was meant to have. Ellowitz should not be on staff ANYWHERE if he has no time or care to treat his patients. He takes the care OUT of healthcare.
