Review Summary
Dr. Cohn's practice received over 90.3% positive feedback, with patients praising the professionalism, caring nature, and minimal wait times. However, around 9.7% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing patient discontent and financial concerns. While the practice excels in compassionate treatment, it needs a more transparent approach to financial policies.ScoreDoc Score

Great customer service experience and work! Quick, friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic staff!
This office needs to be investigated thoroughly and I recommend patients NOT GO TO DR. COHN or any service he is affiliated with. I first saw Dr. Cohn on Wed June 21st 2023, after weeks of headaches, eye pain, and extreme sensitivity to light. I went in wearing dark shades and again explained my issues to his staff (had previously done so to two staff members pre-appointment). I saw Dr. Cohen himself for a MAXIMUM of 4 minutes TOTAL, during which he: -Quickly reviewed my notes in his system, -Did a quick look at my eyes with a light -Recommended $40 eye drops and -Gave a pitch for using their contracted prescription company over any other pharmacy to to save money (this was false, I later found out it was almost double if I had purchased elsewhere) I impressed upon the doctor the need for me to get this issue with my eyes sorted quickly due to the nature of my work, the pain that I was in and my inability to pay hundreds in copays for repetitive visits. To which I was told not to worry, one more visit to do a visual field test in a week. While waiting for them to get themselves together, I listened in on the office manager scolding other staff for adding unnecessary add-ons to patient prescriptions which resulted in thousands of undisclosed added costs to the prescription. The patient had called in upset. (I believe this was related to progressive lenses -my memory regarding the exact term used is sketchy ). The manager went in to confront Dr. Cohen on the issue. That should have been my cue to not go forward but I digress. The following week I had over 5 calls with Dr. Cohn’s office staff - JUST TO GET AN IDEA OF MY COPAY. Up until the morning of my scheduled follow-up appointment on June 30th, I could not get a response from the office, so I called in and told them I would not be coming in that day due to the confusion. I received a call 3 days later asking about my “no-show” for the appointment. I clarified my reason for canceling and was told they would find out and call me back. 36 hours later they called back with a quote for $76 copay and a new appointment. Continued in next review.
I CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE After having an eye exam and getting a prescription for glasses, the doctor informed me that i had cataracts but it wasn’t anything serious. I filled the prescription but was still having issues so i called for an earlier appointment and was told very harshly by the doctor that i had cataracts that needed immediate attention and he was annoyed that i wouldn’t go to the doctor he recommended who was in Dade county. I’ve since had the surgery but I will never ever return to this office
I first went to Dr. Cohn for a work related problem with one eye several years ago. They fit me in so I could come in immediately and took care of the issue. Since then, I have been going to him for my annual exams and any eye issues that come up for several years. His office is comfortable and welcoming. They are very accommodating and good about sticking to appointments. I never have a long wait to be seen. Dr. Cohn and his entire staff are very friendly and professional. They make you feel comfortable and are knowledgeable and helpful. I have recommended him to some of my co-workers (his office is close to ours) and they have also gone to him for eye care. I am happy to have found Dr. Cohn and am very confident in trusting my vision care to him.
i’ve been going to see him for a few years and he was always personable and so was the staff. One thing that bothered me was every time i saw the doctor he had a different staff but i let it go. I had an appointment this past August for a routine visit but since i was having difficulty with my glasses i asked for an eye exam and he was able to do that. He told me after the exam that i had cataracts but it wasn’t anything to be concerned about right now. i left the office and had the prescription filled and it still wasn’t right so i had it filled again somewhere else with the same results. I called his office to schedule another eye exam and the doctor said i had cataracts and needed surgery after telling me that it wasn’t a problem a couple of months earlier. He tried to push a doctor that he recommended who is in Dade county and was a bit angry at me for not scheduling it right then. I left the office and found a highly rated doctor nearby. Very happy, need glasses for fine print
Dr. Cohn is a very pleasant man but that holds zero value when he tells you his office does not participate in any RX authorization requirements that BCBS mandates in order to fill the RX. After 2 office visits, he gave me a 2nd RX as part of my treatment but wouldn't have his staff make the phone call to BCBS to authorize it because it's too time consuming. Needless to say, had to find a new Dr. who agreed to participate in BCBS requirements and start the process over yesterday. So Dr. Cohn is ok with wasting my time, my money and BCBS' money. Noted.
tried rush me to have cataract surgery and threatened me with losing my drivers license
NO LONGER WILL RECOMMEND I had an appointment this past August for a routine exam but I wasn’t scheduled for an exam for glasses. Since I was having trouble with my vision, I asked Dr Cohn if I could get a vision test for glasses even though I wasn’t scheduled and he obliged me. He said I had cataracts but they weren’t anything to be concerned about at that time which I was grateful to hear. I had my prescription filled at Walmart as they have a great reputation for glasses but still was having trouble so I had them filled again at a different optical center with the same results. After spending $1,200.00 on glasses that didn’t work, I called the office to request an appointment sooner than the one I had scheduled for December and after some back and forth discussion the person making appointments agreed. I go to the office as scheduled and midway through the exam the tester said Dr Cohn would explain the problem. He said I have cataracts and needed surgery NOW after saying 3 months ago that they weren’t a concern right now. He tried to push me into using the doctor he recommended who just so happens to be in Dade county. When I insisted I would choose my own doctor he told me in a very stern matter that the state takes this very seriously and pretty much threatened my driving privileges
Wonderful staff, wonderful doctor.....very quick and efficient service! God bless you!
We were very happy with Dr. Cohn and his staff. They accommodated us for a last minute emergency and Dr. Cohn knew exactly what was going on within minutes and treated my wife. 5 stars all the way and highly recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
