Robert J. Bass's Online Review Report Card

I was referred to Dr. Bass by my primary physician. I recently had surgery and Dr. Bass was very informative communicating how he would perform the surgery. I was very unease, worried and nervous leading up to the surgery date due to a past experience. He assured me I would have a better experience. Dr. Bass and the entire surgical team at Westside Regional Hospital was amazing they explained the entire process and made me feel at ease. My surgery went well and was a huge success. The next day I had pain but it was minimal and I felt good. I was up walking and moving around spending only two nights in the hospital. Thank you Dr. Bass your truly the BEST!!!

I initially had a consultation with a different doctor at this practice . Per more research, I felt more comfortable using Dr. Bass instead however the receptionists told me that I can’t switch doctors . If I feel more comfortable with a different doctor and I’m paying , why can’t I change to a doctor that is clearly more experienced with my procedure ?

Please read the low ratings prior to selecting this doctor. Dr. Bass is a horrible person. He does not care about his patients. I have read ratings where this man was negligent.Thus, leading to a miscarriage. This man is incompetent! I recently went to his office to obtain a copy of my medical records to transfer to another doctor. He refused to provide me with such copy. Bass's record lady stated, " Bass adviced me to call the police on you if you continue to ask for the copy." Less than an hour later, while I was standing outside inquiring about legal advice, I saw the police. I stopped the man to ask how I could proceed. He then adviced me that Bass's lady contacted them because I wanted my own paperwork. Weird right? This a wonderful doctor. I'm a black pregnant woman. If these police people were not nice and professional, who knows what could have happened? Mmmm This man put my life in danger when he decided to contact the police without any explanation.

This doctor is a racist. He does not care about his dark skinned pregnant patient. This man contacted the police on a patient for asking to obtain a copy of her medical records. This pregnant woman had an infection, and this so called doctor did not care to treat her .

FemCare OB/GYN is the best practice I've been to! Dr. Bass and his staff are genuinely caring and ensures all your questions are answered. The team is very welcoming and simply amazing. Dr. Bass recently performed an out patient surgery on me and made the experience so stress free. From scheduling to post surgery follow-up, Dr. Bass and his team made this experience a positive one!

I've been a patient of Dr. Bass for over 12 years and I can't say enough great things about him and the office (this is the friendlist doctors office on earth). I've suffered with heavy periods and amemia for a long time but about 2 years ago it got worst (I assume with age). I had to start iron infusions every few weeks. It was very frustrating wearing extra clothing and padding my sheets when I had my cycle. So I went to see Dr.Bass and told him what was happening. I thought my only option was hysterectomy, which I did not want to do. I have 5 children and already had a tubal ligation but couldn't even think about having a hysterectomy (i'm a nurse btw) He and I sat in his office like we do after every exam to discuss the options ( and you can talk without him rushing you along). We decided on a non invasive office procedure (yay) I was so happy but scared at the same time. We schedule the appointment and got the the pre procedure testing done. I was given medication to take the morning of the appointment and Emily (Dr.Bass amazing assistant that's been there forever) was there with her arms open wide to help me through all this. The procedure took less that 5 mins. And yes there's some discomfort but there's a tranquil room thats decorated so pretty and Dr. Bass and Emily provided more than enough encouragement and tenderness durning it that it made everything so okay. I just want to say that this procedure changed my life. And I'm so appreciative to him for everything.

Dr Robert Bass is an amazing Doctor. I came to him when I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd baby and I chose him and his office due to the exceptional ratings he had. I felt comfort finding out he’s delivered over 35,000 babies. It made me feel like I was in good hands. He’s caring & assuring, every visit he made sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns. He always updated me on what was to come next. His nurse Emily is the sweetest, most happy and upbeat person at every visit. My delivery went great, he talked to me during my c section and let me know everything was going great and when he was almost finished. I would highly recommend Dr Bass and will continue to see him for all my future needs.

Dr. Bass is an exceptional doctor! I have been his patient since I was 15 and most recently he delivered my first son- 20 years later. Dr. Bass was so attentive during the labor process - I felt extremely cared for. I trust I had such a successful outcome largely due to his care and knowledge. I have recommended him to all my friends- who have also had wonderful deliveries and healthy babies as his patients.

From day one of going to this office the staff was amazing and nice and so welcoming they made me feel greatly appreciated. My first visit was awesome I saw Dr.Colas-Lacombe and she is amazing, and also I got to meet the awesome Dr. Bass, he is also a great doctor. Both Dr. Colas and Dr.Bass did an amazing job finding the source of what was going on with my body and was able to resolve the issue. Dr. Bass did an awesome job with my surgery and explained everything to me. Overall to sum it all up if you want a OB/GYN that listens cares informative and beyond look no further this is the place and professional you would like to be. Thank you Dr. Colas-Lacombe and Dr.Bass and to the staff you guys are amazing keep up the awesome job.

Dr. Bass and his staff are amazing. Dr. Bass just delivered my second baby (38 weeks) , first one 3 years ago (39 weeks). Making appointments and getting in and out of the office quickly was easy and efficient. This time around I am on the older scale and he monitored the pregnancy closely and made sure I all the proper test to have a healthy baby and make it as long as I could. He delivered both of my babies and I did not have to deal with another on call doctor. Both deliveries went smooth and I was up and back to my normal self quickly. In addition, he has the best assistant Emily, nicest person I have ever dealt with in a doctors office!
