My optometrist rushed me to see Dr Shmunes as an emergency when he realized that I had milkweed sap in my eye. He said that Dr. Shmunes was an expert in the field of milkweed toxicity. Dr Shmunes had experience with this and knew the plan to save my vision. I am so thankful I found him. He also explains everything to you in easy to understand terms. Next up is cataract surgery for me! It was such a blessing to find him just a few miles away to save my eye.

Dr Shmunes has been our family eye dr for 25+ years. Except for a brief period when we could not find him. We were given the impression that he had retired by his prior practice. So happy to learn that was not the case. He is very thorough and caring. He is up to date with the current ophthalmology procedures and practices. We trust him to take care of all of our eye health needs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shmunes for 2 years. He has been treating my dry eye during this time with some success. He recommended Tearcare and I had it in July. The results were immediate and amazing. Following the treatment, Dr. Shmunes used a probe to make certain the oil glands were completely unblocked. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shmunes and Tearcare for anyone with dry eye syndrome.

I went for the PRK procedure & was taken care of very well from start to finish. All the staff where super friendly. Especially Shari & Dr. Neil Shmunes. I knew what to expect from the beginning. Every time I go in for a check up, I get greeted with friendly faces. Dr. neil Shmunes is so personable. Absolutely adore him & know I can count on him if I ever were to have an issue.

Dr. Shmunes Sr and Jr are two amazing doctors and people. They listen to your concerns and your issues. Then they competently and efficiently begin treatments. Their office is comfortable and the staff is outgoing as well as caring. I highly recommend both Dr. Neil Shmunes and Dr. Kathy Shmunes.

Dr. Shmunes performed LASIK surgery for me 8 years ago. It was a awesome experience. No surprises, no pain, and I had immediate perfect vision. Today, I visited the new state of the art location in Ponte Vedra Beach for the first time. The staff was amazing. After 8 years, my eyes are healthy and I still have perfect 20/15 vision. I highly recommend Dr. Shmunes for all your eye care needs, especially if you’re considering LASIK. It was the best money I’ve ever spent.

Dr.Shmunes has been the Ophthalmologist for my wife and I for many years . We had lost contact with Him for a couple of years when He left the Atlantic Eye Institute. We are very happy to have found Him again . He is very good at explaining everything about your condition and treating it . We recently had a need to contac Him on a Sunday and he got right back to us . We would rate His service on every level at five stars .

Dr Shmunes took extra time with me to resolve my issue. So much different and better than my experience with other beaches ophthalmologists. His staff are great as well. I highly recommend!!
