List of Rebecca Moorhead's Reviews
I went to see Dr. Moorhead for what I now know is a yeast infection. At the time she told me she couldn’t tell what it was but that is was probably herpes. I was fighting back tears asking if she was sure. She said there was no point doing any type of blood test because they weren’t accurate and I would probably get a false negative.
Wow. I'm now in my 30s and saw Dr. Moorhead once when I was maybe 19 or 20, well before doctor ratings were available on the internet. I was laughing today about my awful experience with her way back when and it occurred to me that I might not be alone, so I Googled her and, sure enough, multiple people have commented here about her unprofessional bedside manner and inappropriate remarks. It was my first visit ever to a gynecologist's office, and I distinctly remember being completely weirded out at something she said to me while I was on the table. During the exam, she told me I had -- and I quote -- "a nice, tight, virginal vagina." Granted, I was in fact a virgin at the time, but... nice? tight? No. No. Not okay. Completely gross and weird for a medical professional to say those words in that context. Over the years I've applied a sense of humor to the situation, and of course I never went back to see her again, but for those of you on this site today looking for a gynecologist: do yourself a favor and keep looking.
I went to Dr. Moorhead several years ago. I was 18 or 19. It was my first time getting an exam. I waited almost an hour to see her. Once I did finally get to see her, she briefly introduced herself and then did the exam. She never explained what she was doing, she just commented that I had cute shoes. After the exam she told me to come her in her office. I did so. I had to wait outside of her office for at least 20 min. When she was finally ready for me, instead of her explaining what she did and what she tested for, she procedded to ask me how many partners that I had had and that I should find one partner to spend the rest of my life with. She also never went over the "issue" form that I was asked to fill out. Unfortunately I had to return a few short weeks later. Needles to say, that was another disasterous visit. It was also my last visit. Needless to say, bc of Dr. Moorhead's extremely rude bedside manner, I didnt see another OBGYN for 10 yrs. Very unprofessional- do not recommend.
I love Dr. Moorehead. I also followed her from another practice 17 yrs ago. I adore her
Dr Moorhead is just one of the nicest OB/GYN's around. She really listened to my concerns and issues. She made some recommendations about my healthcare that later turned out to be very fruitful. Her staff is pleasant and welcoming. Her fellow doctors are professional and just as pleasant as can be.
I only saw her one time. She was very rude and refused to listen to me regarding medication I have taken for over 20 years. She insisted on changing the dosage even though I explained to her this medication and dosage was working fine. She also had her office staff call me later to reschedule a portion of the exam that she felt needed to be repeated based on a test result that initially had come back as suspicious but was determined by another doctor to be fine. I told her staff I did not need to come back due to being cleared by another doctor. She then sent me a certified letter stating that she would no longer be my doctor. I had already decided the minute I left her office after the first visit that I would not be back due to her rudeness and lack of professionalism. On a positive note I did not have to wait at all to be seen. Then again could that be because patients have had similar experiences as me and do not return?
Dr. Moorhead constantly made inappropriate comments (such as looking directly at my husband and demanding "Do you FEED her?!" when I wasn't gaining enough weight during my pregnancy for her liking), and was just plain rude. Also, she attempted to induce me (by stripping my membranes -- OUCH!!) WITHOUT my consent two weeks prior to my due date simply because she was going on vacation the week of my due date -- and she wanted to be the one to deliver my baby rather than another doctor at the practice that I had actually chosen as my OB-GYN! (If I had known then what I know now, there would have been recourse...) Luckily, my baby knew better and came as he pleased six days later (when she was on vacation and MY doctor could deliver!). I decided to choose a more natural-oriented OB-GYN five years later for my second child, and I've since heard that these ladies are no longer delivering babies and are strictly GYNs. Regardless, I wouldn't recommend Moorhead to ANYONE!
I really liked Dr. Moorhead and the care she has given me. Whomever is writing negative things sounds like they were an immature child and maybe aren't being personally responsible for themselves and are playing out a "TV" inspired "victim" mentality that is so popular these days. I've been Dr. Moorhead's patient for 12 years and she has been nothing but professional and kind and accurate.
I have nothing but GOOD to say about Dr. Moorhead. I followed her from another practice years ago and have found her to be courteous, respectful, very professional and thorough. Whoever is saying she made inappropriate comments certainly must be talking about another physician, because, after years of being her patient, I have the utmost respect for her and her demeanor.
very personable, up to date, listens to patient

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
