Our first office visit since moving to Jacksonville. Of course the first visit paperwork. The staff was very helpful and patient walking us through the process. Courteous and friendly. When the nurse took over she explained the wellness exam process and we metDr. Joshua Harrison our new primary care physician.Dr. Harrison spent time explaining at length preliminary tests we had before our first meeting. He met with us individually.Dr. Harrison was thorough professional and friendly. We were lucky to have chosen this primary care office.Very pleased and highly recommend this medical facility.
Ah the joys of being an adult meaning I need to make an annual appointment to make sure Im AOK. This time my annual was inperson. Ill be honest not totally jazzed about going to a doctors office during the pandemic but here we are. This time Dr. Bonaquist had moved into a brand new building in Nocatee in the Baptist SouthYMCA building. Parking was plentiful with lots of options. The building was clean and bright.I arrived checked in at the front desk and was instructed to wait until my name was called. They are still abiding by social distancing standards in the office and requiring masks. No more than 10 minutes of waiting and I was taken back for vitals weight etc. The nurse was pleasant asked me questions about why I was here then said the doctor would be with me in a few moments.Dr. Bonaquist came in no more than ten minutes later. She has great bedside manner friendly down to earth personable and just a genuinely nice person. After chatting for a few minutes she got into doctor mode went over some things said Id need some labs done referred me to a specialist etc. I asked her a few questions she answered kindly refilled my prescription and I was on my way.ProsNew facilityPlenty of parkingKind doctorEfficient doctors officeConsSometimes I hate being an adult and doing adult things like doctors appointmentsTips Be sure to wear a mask in the building and office per their instructions.
Dr. Giro Rahbar graciously accepted us as new patients when we moved here from Georgia in August. I left a Doctor who was extremely thorough personable professional and deeply cared for her patients. I believe I have found the same in Dr. Rahbar Wonderful visit.
I wound up having a follow up appointment during the pandemic and my doctors office called me prior to let me know theyd be doing Zoom or Facetime depending on your preference appointments. Ive done teleappointments but not with this office so I was happy I didnt have to cancel my appointment and didnt have to go into the office.I was given instructions a week prior to my appointment asked about my preference Facetime or Zoom and they let me know someone would be calling an hour or so prior to the appointment to pull my chart verify some information prior to the doctor calling me.All there instructions were spot on. I received a call about an hour prior to my appointment where they verified some information. Then at my appointment time I received a Facetime call from my doctor. She was as cheery as could be. She went over a few things had time for questions and once again I didnt feel rushed which is a plus. She refilled my prescription went over a few things and said if I have any questions to give the office a call as shes in the office Monday Friday.ProsEasy and convenient featureAbility to be in the comfort of your own home wout having to go to the actual doctors officeEasy to talk to and great bedside mannerConsNoneTips Im not sure if this will become a staple with this practice but may be worth asking in the future after the pandemic eases up if you can have an online appointment versus inperson.
After moving to Jacksonville I had to find a new primary care physician. I would have gone to my previous physician when I used to live here but it was almost a thirty minute drive so I opted to find one closer to home. After asking around my parents mentioned they really liked their primary care physician. After looking her up on the Baptist Health site I liked that she had a pretty diverse background everything from nutrition counseling womens health weight management and immunizations and wellness exams. My parents mentioned she has a great bedside manner and you dont feel like youre being rushed during an appointment truth be told this is one of my top requirements theres nothing worse than coming to an appointment waiting a long time just to be shooed out.I scheduled an appointment over the phone and they were able to get my in for an appointment within a week of calling which was great to hear. I brought the necessary paperwork with me checked in for my appointment and then waited maybe ten minutes until I was brought back. Once in an exam room due to this being a wellness exam there were tons of questions that the nurse had to ask me.Once she was done with the Q and A section of the appointment the doctor arrived. She went over my chart answered questions I had was just super pleasant and nice. All in all it was a really good experience. I felt like a person and not a number which is high on my list when finding a physician.ProsClean officeUpdated officeNice staffDr. Bonaquist was just lovely thorough and made me feel at easeConsThere was something gnarly going on with billing which isnt handled by Dr. Bonaquist but by Baptist. Everything was rectified but it was a little jarring to receive a bill where theyd didnt apply my insurance.Tips If youre looking for a kind nice thorough physician Dr. Bonaquist is a great option.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
