List of Florida Cancer Specialists And Research Institute's Reviews
This place is truly amazing… Bonus the commute to this local center is 8 min for me. Better than a 2 hour Moffitt drive.Dr Percent is great. He’s patient to the point and persistent.. He genuinely cares for his patients.. I felt very comfortable with all of his recommendations.. He introduced me to his nurses and they were friendly and kind as well. Helen even popped by during my first chemo treatment to check in and explain how how to reach her if I had any issues.. I may be incorrect on the names here because both nurses actually popped by to give words of encouragement during that first treatmentFrom the check in gals to the financial office authorization department nurses medical assistants to check out. Everyone is truly great.. I’ve had issues getting blood taken or veins accessed for contrast and port placement at other facilities during this process and it made me super nervous about getting blood drawn or my infusion today. I was on verge of a mini panic attack and Kelly totally soothed me These girls know what they’re doing and Kelly always manages it the first time and I barely ever notice She’s such an assetIf you’ve unexpectedly joined the dreaded cancer club you would be in very good hands here..
Don’t go to this place unless you are ok with1.Prescriptions and patient information written on sticky notes2. Incomplete prescriptions sent to the pharmacy3. Dismissive drs that do feel you concerns are important.4. No show drs at the appointment.5. Sarcastic staff when asked about the above issues.Keep in mind they only answer the phone from930 to 1200 an 130 to 500 and most of the staff leaves by 430.This facility is just an insurance money mill. No more no less.
Florida Cancer Specialist is the best. Dr. Percent is a very knowledgeable oncologist. He is one of the best in Florida. He is kind and honest. This is the kind of doctor you want when you need someone who knows what he is doing. His crew and the staff are kind and accommodating. Any negative review is not true. I have a totally different experience and you can trust them that they all know what they are doing. The waiting time is faster compared to other facilities. Its not true that they overcharge you. Their charges are fair compared to other practices.
Came. Here today was denied entry 3321 White couple behind me was allowed in wont be using this facility again skin color matters here I see
Dr. Singh lacked compassion amp empathy to me as a patient. He called my prior physician without my prior knowledge and criticized his care of me. He got offended when I told him a drug he had ordered for me was a direct contraindication with a drug I had been on for years. His response was who told you that ? My response the package insert amp the pharmacist. He got huffy and did not offer an alternative. He told me during a Dr. visit that he was removing himself from my care amp that he would find someone to take over. He also mentioned that because this is the holiday season it may be a while before you get to see someone. Because my therapy at the time required 2 week intervals my wife asked what Plan B was? She also asked if he would transfer my records to the new Dr. so that when I do get scheduled to see him he would already be familiar with my status amp have a game plan formed. Dr. Singhs reply was. you should discuss your questions when you see the new Dr. I see that as patient abandonment.
BEWARE They are fraudulently charging people I went in to meet with Dr. Glick in regards to my blood work my PCP was worried about I was told I would have a routine lab work done so he could take a look at my lymphocytes. No one from this office discussed how much I would be charged or provided me with an estimate will I was there I figured a doctor visit and normal lab work wouldn’t be to costly. I received my bill and I’m just in shock Without my acknowledgement they performed a cytopathology not once but TWICE so my insurance was charged almost $3500 just for this form of testing Just wow again I repeat without my acknowledgment. On top of that I do not forget I was also charged for chemistry immunology organ or disease oriented panels hematology and coagulation and a surgery fee. I just feel that other patient should be made aware of what Florida Cancer is doing behind your back make sure when you go there you request to see and estimates before they do anything on you.
Dr. Percent and all the PAs are super. Amanda in the area that takes blood samples is one of my new best friends. Always a smile and friendly greeting. I have minor issues but if they were major these are the professionals I would want to help me.
Dr percent is top notch He is sometimes painfully honesthe gets right to the point but thats how I like it.He is a fine but no nonsense doctor.
talk about discrimination. if you are not going there for cancer treatment you can expect to have your scheduled appointment with the doctor cancelled even if you had it scheduled for 6 months. or you can even have a scheduled time for an appointment and they make you sit and wait to take someone else in first.its not that hard to see a patient that is only going to take a few minutes to see and then take another one..also not hard to hook someone up for infusion and tgen take in another person.just because one persons infusion is 23 hours and anothers is 6 hours or more doesnt meen you put the other person aside.and if you know your suppose to see the doctor they shouldnt be changing appointment without even letting you know.nurses are nice and doctors but thet have a very poor policy.
My mother has lung cancer. And Dr Glick has been very good at explaining everything to her. He worries about her and his patients. Thank you Dr Glick

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
