I had 2 trigger fingers fixed. From check in to check out very professional service and friendly too.

I was referred here after breaking my wrist in February. Dr Helgemo said no cast was necessary, just a brace. I wore the brace every day and followed all instructions for recovery. Came for weekly checkups with him. In midMarch he said it was fine and to gradually resume activities in a few weeks. I started physio and they had several concerns about my wrist so they sent me to the fracture clinic here in Canada. My wrist has healed but the bones aren’t in the right spots. I have ulnar shortening and a dorsal tilt in my wrist which results in reduced mobility and ongoing pain. My options now are to live with reduced mobility and chronic pain or have surgery to break my arm and reset it so it can heal properly. How is it that he checked my wrist every single week and didn’t notice it was setting improperly?????

I have been coming here for many years. I saw Dr Helgamo for the 1st time today. He made me feel so comfortable & was very knowledgeable about my issues. I will always recommend The Hand center to anyone. (I have many times already) Courtney is always so sweet too.

Dr. Helgemo took exceptional care of my daughter. From the initial consultation, to the dual wrist surgeries, to the final checkup, he was very informative and knowledgeable. Both he and nurse Mandy made our experience as pleasant as possible under the circumstances. My daughter and I are extremely grateful!

He is an outstanding dedicated knowledgeable and most compassionate doctor of visited in some time. He accommodated me when the chips were down he was the only doctor filling in for the other doctor so he took care of me regardless and for that I'm grateful
