List of James A Hearn's Reviews
Dr. Hearn is an excellent doctor. When my father needed bypass surgery, he sent us to a wonderful doctor at Sarasota Memorial. He’s also put 3 stents in my husband’s heart.
We absolutely recommend Dr. Hearn. After having a heart attack at 5:30 in the morning (2 years ago) and being transported to Fawcett Hospital, Dr Hearn was there and immediately diagnosed and treated the problem keeping my wife fully informed of the situation within minutes. His bed side manner is genuine, educational and sympathetic. His abilities and skills are beyond question.
My mother has gone to Dr. Hearn for years and just loves him. He is caring, friendly and always has the patient's welfare in mind.
He is horrible, so is his associates! My dad died after he severed his aortic valve. No bedside manners! Seems preoccupied by other things!
Great Doctor!
Dr Hearn saved my husband - he saw him right away and ordered a cath - which saved his life - because he was sent by ambulance to hospital and had open heart surgery with 2 bypasses - he was very very blessed to meet Dr Hearn and his staff - would definitely refer to him.
Dr Hearn did a Heart Cath and Kidney. He is awesome, the staff was wonderful very attentive to my needs.I was very anxious. They made me feel so at ease. I highly recommend !
Was referered over from my primary having chest pains. Sat in waiting room for 2 hours with cp and when I went back, they did no vitals, no ekg, no bloodwork no tests period! Asked me to show where the pain was and I did and he asked me to use 1 finger and point to the pain, which I did and he said to me, "if you can point to the pain it is not your heart!" I left there and had severe chest pains the next day prompting me to call my primary which refererred me to another cardiologist for a second opinion. He also, spent about 10 minutes on the phone with a friend talking about another patient while I sat there in pain. Very unprofessional!
Everyone is great except the ARNP. She is pushy and condescending. Dr. Hearn is great and the staff is friendly.
I have been a patient of Dr Hearn for about 6 or 7 yrs. I have found him to be a really good Dr. I usually feel uncomfortable with Drs. Dr Hearn has a way of making you feel at ease. I really do not trust some Dr's but he has taken care of my heart health for awhile now and I am thankful for that. I did not have a cardiologist at all and I was in the hospital and they thought they should have a cardiologists come in to see me and Dr Hearn was that Dr and I am grateful for that because I feel safe under his care. Also his staff is some of the best. Always Professional but friendly also.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
