From the office staff to the surgery staff 5/5. Front office staff is friendly and receptive. Nurse Faith is warm, compassionate, and very informative. Both facilities are very clean and conveniently located within Port Charlotte. The surgery center facility was immaculately clean. The surgery office staff is AMAZING! Again, reception staff was super friendly and did thorough pre-op checks. The nurses were phenomenal—one stick for IV and no pain! I can honestly say I was never uncomfortable during my stay and was in and out quickly. The Nurse Anesthetist, Angie, was so friendly; I can’t say enough what a professional, calming atmosphere Dr. Amontree’s staff provides for his patients. Most importantly, Dr. Amontree has such a positive demeanor; I was put at ease from the first office visit all the way through pre-op to post-op. He has the best bedside manner. Could not have asked for a better experience!

The doctor was very informative and helpful! Only he was a fast talker and just spit out the questions to me one after the other couldn’t recall some of the things I wanted to tell him because I felt like I was rushed! He’s right to the point! But I liked him very much you can tell he’s a caring physician!!😊

My Father was unable to get in to see Dr. Amontree for a follow up because at age 85 he does not use a tablet computer. He was told “if he can’t fill out the questions on the computer then he does not have an appointment” by the two women at the front desk who told him everyone has to do this to get seen by the doctor. What ever happened to customer service? It is sad to see what the profession of Medicine is becoming in some for profit models.

I was choking on my food and drink all the time. My primary care doc referred me to Dr. Amontree, and I'm so glad she did. Dr. Amontree said I needed to have my esophagus stretched and he scheduled the procedure at a surgery center. I was given clear instructions on what to expect. I had the procedure and it was quick. Dr. Amontree talked to me both before and after, and he has very pleasant bedside manner. I have no idea why he has so many bad reviews. To me, he was an excellent doctor. He said I would need to repeat the procedure every 1-3 years, and I would go back to him every time.
