I have been going to Dermatologists most of my life and Dr. Jay Herbst is the very best. He is extremely know legible, professional and he listens to my concerns. He is the first Dermatologist that I have gone to that treated what concerned me and didn't try to needlessly carve me up to make insurance money.

I have been going to Dr. Herbst for several years, and he is one of my all time favorite doctors. He is knowledgeable, professional, personable, and has a great sense of humor. He keeps me very well informed about any issues he may discover during an examination. I highly recommend Dr. Herbst.

I see Dr. Alexander Herbst, I was being treated at a wound care center for about a year with no luck. They referred me to Dr Alexander, he takes his time, he really cares about his patients. The staff also go above and beyond what they are expected to do. One lady was willing to meet me on her day off to take care of my leg. I’ve only been seeing Dr Alexander for about six weeks and my leg is almost completely healed. I couldn’t be happier and would recommend them with the highest confidence.

When I moved to Port Charlotte 10 yrs ago, my then-Dermatologist recommended Dr. Herbst as "someone I'd trust to take care of my own family." I have never regretted following that advice. As someone with multiple skin cancer surgeries and other, less serious, skin issues, I have seen him dozens of times, and have always been fully confident of the diagnosis made and treatment received. He is professional, yet personable, efficient, yet unhurried, and dignified, but with a good sense of humor. Five stars aren't enough to indicate my level of satisfaction.

Although Dr Herbst did a great job taking care of a skin issue his check out personnel is well below par. Too busy yacking with each other and not paying attention to the matter at hand. Will change clinics for future needs.

I made an appointment because I had a worrisome bump on my leg. Fortunately, it was nothing serious. Dr. Herbst spent a good amount of time with me, answered all of my questions and made sure I didn't have any other problem areas. I'm very happy!

Dr Herbst is such a pleasure to visit, That is a funny thing to say about visiting a doctor I know. I enjoy going to him even when he finds a few bad spots. He is such a professional and caring doctor that I trust 100%. He has removed numerous per-cancerous and cancerous growths for me. When he has had to remove anything with his scalpel and put in stitches, the scar is always almost invisible. I recommend Dr Herbst to anyone looking for a professional dermatologist.
