Louis Rosenfield's Online Review Report Card

My dad went to Dr. Rosenfield for about a dozen years while he was living in Port Charlotte and still to this day brags about the guy as the best doctor he ever had. My dad really feels Dr. Rosenfield was on the ball not only in his own specialty but in other areas as well. And my dad says Dr. Rosenfield had connections with other good doctors to take care of things like skin cancer etc. It has been something like 18 years since my dad left Florida so Dr. Rosenfield himself may be getting along in years but my dad is 97 and still kicking and he feels this doctor had a lot to do with that.

I think he is awesome he is a no no sense direct to the point kind of person. He is very intelligent and caring doctor who has a tremendous amount of experience at his craft I melas he took me on as a patient.

I've been a patient of Dr. Rosenfield for 20+ years. The man is smart, aware, concerned and thorough. He has, through his concise methodology, saved my life. He is a good man and a great doctor!

Had this dr for a heart catheterization. Never came to my hospital room to speak with me about the procedure before I was taken downstairs. Did not get to speak with him before during or after the procedure My nephew and his wife were in the waitingroom they said dr came in and didnt want to even answer their questions. They said he looked like he was in a hurry to leave the room. I would not recommend this dr to anyone

I had an awesome experience with Dr Rosenfield and his staff. The staff was very attentive. I thought his mannerism was very very good. He did the procedure. He was thorough. He came back sat down and explained the course of action we would take. I give him a superior rating.

Very Patient oriented. Best of the best. Extremely knowledable

April 12, 2018Dr Rosenfeld kept my father's heart in tip top condition. The hospital ER we first went to said he was fine, because his echocardiogram looked fine. There was more going on but they sent him home. I knew more was wrong. I called Dr office after spending all day trying to find a cardiologist to take him asap. Dr never turns away a patient. My dad had 3 stents put in 3 different occasions. Dr ordered the correct medication needed. Dr could be rude and short to the point, but so was my dad. Dr wants only perfection in his patients and staff. So if he became irritated it's because he wants his patients heathy and follow his regime. He has no room for error. I love this cardiologist. My dad lived until he was 89. Dr wanted do one more stent and my bullheaded father said no more. Dad said, "I'm tired of living in pain." He passed in 2015 peacefully in his own bed. Dr called me up personally with condolences re: my father's death. I heard a sob from Dr when he said, " I loved your dad. He reminds me of myself, bullheaded." I need to make an appointment see him because I've lost both parents, a sister and my baby brother to heart failure. Dr Rosenfeld will be my cardiologist and I'm ready to see him for an appointment and a big HUG! Thank you Dr. Your truly the best.Love, Grace Neureuther, Arthur's daughter.

I went to see him on Monday and I think he is a good Dr. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all and his staff was nice also.

When I first saw Dr. Rosenfield - I was 27 years old and had went into cardiac arrest twice. He put an ICD in, in 2014. He had terrible bedside manner at the time and said a lot of inappropriate things as well to not only me but to my family members who were present. He put my ICD in and I went to his office and sucked up the dreadful comments. Eventually things became ok and Dr. Rosenfield seemed ok. I felt like I should stick it out with him for the sake that he knew my condition, performed my heart surgery, etc. I haven’t had any issues with my ICD until last Sunday 1/21/18. I was rushed to Englewood hospital and learned that my defibrillator has fired twice. I was admitted for observation. I called his office Monday to let him know I was admitted. Never heard from him, never saw him. I underwent a surgery Tuesday at Englewood hospital and then was transported to Sarasota Memorial. My family member also called Rosenfield Tuesday to inform him of what was going on. Still heard NOTHING. So once I got to SMH I underwent another surgery and saw specialists and cardiologist that informed me the heart arrhythmia medication Rosenfield put me on would cut 30 years off my life!! They said it more than likely made my defibrillator go off because when I went for a 40 minute procedure it lasted more than 3.5 hours and there was nothing they could find or they couldn’t even get my defibrillator to go off. The medication is supposed to be given to patients 65 and older because it causes severe kidney failure. I was released Friday and came home feeling not so good about my cardiologist who knew my entire medical history had not even attempted to contact me. I planned on calling his office Monday 1/29/18. I’m bedridden so when my door bell rang and I had , “certified mail” from Cardiology Associates it was dated Wednesday 1/24/18 stating he would no longer be able to see me as a patient. This was THREE days after I went into defib. Disgusting and distasteful. I would stay far far far away from him as he dropped me and didn’t care in the state of emergency I was in as a 31 year old. Also, he stated in his letter IF I had an emergency within 30 days of the letter he would assist me. Well I did THREE days prior to him writing this letter and he didn’t CARE. I find it very heartbreaking that when I needed him he was no where to be found or heard of. He is mean to his staff - that is why there is always a turnover in his office! I’ve seen the abuse towards his staff myself. I’ve left his office crying on several occasions not only from him but his PA Kelly too! Good luck with him if you chose to stick with him, cause he won’t stick with you! I have recorded conversations in the room with him and handed the letter to my attorney today. HE’S A REAL WINNER...NOT!!

My mom is a patient of Dr. Rosenfield she is comfortable with him with the help of God!
