Pros: Saved the day with a difficult catheter insertion on 7/28.Cons: Bedside manner was horrible.
Horrible consumer service , lady on the phone was very rude and wanted to fight with me instead of helping me get exactly what i needed to set up appointment.
So easy to see Dr. Melser, who, along with friendly helpful staff make every visit comfortable. My wife found Dr. Melser for me and so glad she did.
Dr Melser is a good doctor he’s extremely knowledgeable and thorough. His clinical staff is outstanding. It’s the office staff that is horrible. They were disorganized and unclear about what needed to be done I was just told that my insurance APPROVED my treatments, I wasn’t told that a large portion would be OUT of pocket. I had 3 of these injections before they asked for anything other than my co-pay and When I tried to see Dr Melser regarding other options my appointment was cancelled for non-payment what a shame. The medication was AVEED and it was starting to work for me.
Dr. Melser was compassionate, thorough and an advocate for taking care of the issues I was facing.
Dr. Melser was compassionate, professional and an advocate for me in getting the issues I was facing addressed.
Didn't get to appointment.....was scheduled too far out...comment from staff member was rude...so didn't feel comfortable about seeing a Dr whose staff has no respect and empathy for their patients..found a Dr with great reviews for next week One star too high
My mother checked in Fawcet hospital in port charlotte with a tumor in her kidney and bleeding from a really bad UTI and Dr. Mercer was the Urologist that saw her. At first everything seem to be fine as to his cooperating. He sent my mother home after the bleeding stopped and told us the family to coordinate with his office for surgery. 1. No one ever picks up the phone in his office I called multiple times and no one ever picked up, I left voice mails and no one called me back. 2.the doctor does not care about his patients He violated the the seven golden rules of being a doctor which are : he did not set the tone right with the patient nor the family. He constantly refuses to consider the public interest. He is going vacation and expects my mother to wait until he comes back from His vacation to operate on her. My mother is now sitting with a UTI in the ER and this guy wants to send her home. Dr Mercer is not an Ethical Leader super incompetent to do his practice. I do not recommend this doctor at all. One is better off getting a second opinion.
Extremely professional, listens and explains clinical issues then offers reasonable sound medical solutions.
It isn't an office you ever feel comfortable to be in. It wasn't just one thing. Yes the doctor is in question , his judgement on a few things. Most recently I spent an entire week trying to call them for records transfer. The phone went to a voice mailbox that doesn't exist! So it just hung up!! All week last week! All day , all week! Couldn't even leave a message! Now I certainly don't want to! I am not happy with them or their services for sure.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
