Sovi Joseph's Online Review Report Card

If I could give then zero stars I would. The office staff is rude and not helpful and that's when they answer the phone which is rare! They never return phone calls either! I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

If I could rate anything lower, I would. He did an ERCP to go in my bile duct area and put in Botox for pain. Instead he cut out my whole sphinter leaving the duct from the pancreas with no sphinter. I'm not sure I even consented for that. He punctured the bile wall and I lay in pain at Fawcett for 11 days and sent home. After 3 more days of agony, I went to Englewood ER with sepsis and they saved my life . He never came to check on me the whole time. But many months of antibiotics, drains, hospital trips, rehab and 3 months later another abscess was infected. I was so disappointed in this doctor for neglecting me. BE CAREFUL!

I’m looking for a G.I. doctor I’m reading all about Dr. Joseph. As all doctors good remarks bad remarks you always find more bad remarks because those are the ones that want to vent it makes them feel good. And what it does is it turns other people away on their opinion of that doctor so I take the amount of stars in consideration in all areas. But and a big but.. I went and looked on other reviews on the ones that left bad reviews they seem to always leave reviews mostly bad and dissatisfied on all companies and doctors that they use in their world of complaints so what I’m saying reviews are good or bad maybe helpful but remember the person writing the bad review I always say when you go into a restaurant and you have bad service they’ll go till 10 people how bad that restaurant is but the one that had good service rarely ever spreads the word on good service just food for thought

What good is bedside manner if you don't answer calls, your billing is way off with no explanation or ability to request information unless you schedule an appointment just to billed again. Staff is rude and full of excuses as to why they don't answer calls, respond to voicemails and can be of no help to you when you drop to ask what you couldn't ask on the phone. What a horrible experience this was for me. The procedure went well but that was the end of it. Staff and doctor are unresponsive and clearly don't care. Never again.

Dr. Sovi is an amazing doctor. But his office staff that is responsible for returning phone calls absolutely SUCKS at their job. In January I had a temporary stent inserted into my bile duct by Dr. Sovi. Per him I needed to have the stent removed after having my gallbladder surgery. I called his office for a whole month before I even got scheduled. Between January and February I lost my insurance, so the hospital was going to charge me upfront $4,800. That’s just something I couldn’t do at the time. The hospital advised me to have the removal surgery done at the hospital it was inserted because it would be cheaper. I’ve been calling the office for TWO months now trying to get a surgery time scheduled. My np at my pcp has gone over complications of leaving the stent in too long. I adore Dr. Sovi, but if I have any complications from this stent I will be suing.

Sovi joseph did a EGD-EUS-and ERCP supposeley? 10 days later my pain was much worse. I called him and the very unprofessional staff told me to go to the ER, after they ran some test, they told me to check back with Sovi Joseph. he has not return my calls. I;m so sorry I went to him

Dr Joseph is one of the most caring and kind doctors. He has compassion and takes time with his patients. Listens to what you have to say. Thank you Dr Joseph for being you.

Was in a severe crohns flare up for 3 1/2 months in and out of the hospital admitted 7 times and thru the ER another 7. Dr Joseph accused me of being a drunk and told me to go home and take the medicine.. long story short was taken to drs hospital in Sarasota by some good friends and instantly treated. Was determined I was less than 36 hours from organ shut down.. worst doctor ever

Dr Joseph is a most highly-skilled gastroenterologist. Dr Joseph greatly improved my quality of life ... pretty much saved my life. He is also very kind.
