Haroldo Melo's Online Review Report Card

Dr Mello needs to work on coordination of care. He gives blood work orders that are duplicates of specialists ordering the same tests and does not seem to respect doctors who work in a different health system. Dr Mello needs to be prepared before seeing patients by being familiar with their chart. He need not even know or review the blood work in my records He could work on a better patient-doctor relationships. Personally, i do not care if his care is good, but it would.make the experience better. The doctor is never on time and it is impossible to communicate with the office.

Dr. MELO gets down to what’s going on and helped me have an X-ray when my pulmonologist didn’t. He listens to his patient and decides within a minute as to what course to take.

My parents recently had an appointment with Dr. Melo and he was running behind. When he finally came into the room he said "We are going to make this quick because I am running behind this morning." Not what you want to hear since 1) you have just been waiting for over 30 minutes to see the doctor and 2) you don't want him to rush his visit with you just because he is behind. I recommended that my parents find another doctor with a better attitude.

My husband has been seeing Dr. Melo for 5 years. He has always received excellent care. From routine physicals to a burst appendix Dr. Melo has coordinated all care. He is courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. We're in and out in no time. Miriam in reception gets us appointments to see him fast and conveniently. Sid the medical assistant is top notch. This care team really works for their patients. We highly recommend Dr. Melo.

I am 88 years old and granted - my first and second visit with Dr. Melo was fine but when I needed him to order blood work for a Prolio shot, which I have been getting for 5 years now, he wouldn’t do it and even referred me to other doctors who were Gynecologists and don’t sign off on Prolio. It has to go through your Primary Doctor. As a result my Prolio appointment was canceled. I have a new Primary Doctor, so new I haven’t seen her yet but she will order the blood work. I can’t even talk to Dr. Melo - he wants to make an appointment in 4 weeks. That’s too late for my Prolio shot. This is totally irresponsible and non-professional.

Today was my first visit and I thought no one would live up to my previous Doctor George Bernardo, who just retired. Dr Melo is fantastic, thorough and covers all the bases. Takes time to answer all your questions.

I have called Dr Melo office 2 times to check to get a refill on medicine and called for an appt to been seen for another reason and no phone call back to me. Looking for another internal medicine doctor.

Had an in person appt. after my last physician quit. Dr Melo was very professional and asked the right questions. He displayed concern for my questions and did not waste my time.
