I liked him too. To do what he did sending his entire practice in turmoil boarders on malpractice. I would never trust him again. How do I know this would not happen again?

Dr. Karakossian has been our family Dr.for over 10yrs. and as a retired RN I can surely say he is very kind and responsive to our needs and shows integrity and knowledge in assessing the current concern we bring to him. I would recommend him to anyone looking to find a primary MD. The office staff especially Jan and Toni are so patient and kind to our needs….

I've seen DR. K several times and both the staff and DR. K are excellent. I've never had a problem with this office. When his office closed I had no choice but to go with another physician. I'm looking for his new location to schedule an appointment. Glad to see his back in action.

I called Dr. Vartan Karakossian’s office in Port Orange, FL today and was told that as of yesterday, the Karakossian are no longer affiliated with Advent Health. Does anyone know what happened or where they will be practicing going forward? Thank you.

I think Dr V Karakosian knows his medicine, but I never had an appointment where he spent time with me. Even as a new patient, with chronic medical issues, I didn't get an extended appointment. Initially, I was grateful that I didn't have to spend months waiting to be seen for a first appointment. I even asked him about sitting down and reviewing my medical history. He said we would when I got over the respiratory infection I was there to see him for, however, that never happened. One appointment, I saw him for less than five minutes. I also had a difficult time getting an appointment with him a few times when I was sick, and was told to go to an urgent care center. I really wish I would have had a different experience. I ended up changing doctors. ☹️ I do not recommend him..

He does not do physical exams, but instead asks questions and is quick to prescribe medication without thoroughly studying the problem. If diagnostic tests are needed he tells you to go to the emergency room. His notes on the patient portal were not accurate and made it look like he provided more services than actually given at the appointment.
