Kathryn Smith's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Smith has a HORRIBLE bedside manor. Worst family Doctor I have ever had.

Came down with Covid. I sent a message to the office. The prescription was printed but not sent in. Okay, everybody makes mistakes. I called the Cleveland Clinic all day with no answer. I got ahold of someone in Gastro and they emailed Dr. Smith's office. The Gastro person picked out the pharmacy near me. When I went to pick up my medicine it was not there. I messaged my doctor's office and got this reply. "Good afternoon, your prescription was sent in" . I could have done without the niceties and just would have loved some help in getting my medication. I am a senior citizen and am still quite sick after nine days.

In an age where most doctors simply treat symptoms and disease after it has occurred, it's difficult to find a doctor who is excited and willing to proactively prevent disease and medical issues. I can not be happier with Dr. Smith, not only is she very compassionate and has excellent "bed side manner", she is very supportive of the patients desire to improve their health and work with patients to provide them the tools and knowledge to do so. I'm not sure what more I could ask for in a primary care doctor and I highly recommend her!

For 3 months I have been told one of the drugs Dr Smith prescribed for me is out of stock. I cannot contact her to discuss it

I had my annual well visit physical with Dr Smith. I was very pleased with the time she spent reviewing my history and answering my questions on pros and cons of various things like the shingles vaccine, bone density treatments, etc. She was very open giving me the information and letting me decide.

When I left my appointment with Dr Smith last March I was in tears. Her response to everyone of my concerns was that I am “old” and it to be expected. I was 76 years old. On the way home I thought about all the people I know who are playing tennis, golf, pickle ball, bridge, mahjong well into their eighties and a few nineties. I felt better and have written her off. She should not be dealing with senior citizens with an attitude like that. I got a follow up call from her office saying that my hemoglobin was low and I should take vitamin B12. The caller couldn’t give me a dose or frequency. Since that visit in March I have had angioplasty in both legs (greater than 70% occluded.) I’m walking much better. I have taken myself to see a pulmonologist and a recent visit to my new primary revealed that I have iron deficiency anemia. Why didn’t she pick up on these conditions. You always have to be your own advocate but even more so with Dr. Smith.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Smith. Unfortunately, during the beginning of the pandemic I left an unfair review of her and the staff. Dr. Smith, please forgive me for that review. I am so terribly sorry. I would recommend you to everyone. I got my feelings hurt when the staff were making my appointments with the PA during the pandemic and I thought you didn't care and I took it personal. I am so ashamed of myself you did not deserve that.. I wish I knew how to delete that unfair review. Your a wonderful doctor and you helped me tremendously when I could barely walk due to the bursitis in my hip and I am so grateful you got me back to 100%. Your a soft spoken, gentle and caring doctor and you have always been professional. I have recommended you to friends and family and will continue to recommend you because you are truly a fantastic doctor.

She's just everything you want in the doctor

Horrible experience at the Tiffany office. I have never been treated so terrible by front office staff. Black woman who checked me in was beyond rude and disrespectful to me. She spoke to me as if I was less than human. I have a serious concerns about my safety going back to this office and moreover, worried that my patient records and privacy has been compromised. I am filing a formal complaint!!

I have seen Dr. Smith a couple of times in person and once or twice via video visit. I keep getting the feeling that she is disinterested. She does everything she is supposed to do, but I have seen many, many doctors during my lifetime while raising a large family and for myself, and this doctor just seems to have something missing in her approach to patient care. I cannot put my finger on it. But I am hoping to switch to a different doctor soon.
