List of Palm Garden's Reviews
With COVID, they block us from coming in other than the very minimal visits we are allowed and must be scheduled, so we cannot see what goes on behind closed doors. However, what I saw when I met my 97 yo mother at the ortho surgeon was beyond appalling. The appt was at 4 pm. She arrived WITHOUT her dentures, in dirty clothes, with dirty hair. She was extremely thirsty and begging for water, which is unusual for the extreme elderly. They generally have to be pushed to hydrate. When I called the facility, I got a bunch of "Not my job" answers until someone finally said she would check. Did my mom spend ALL day without her teeth?! Hard for her to speak without them, so wonder if they ignored her pleas for water. She also expressed extreme discomfort in her back, which makes me wonder if they leave her sitting in that very unsupportive wheelchair all day long. She was walking with a walker before she fell and broke her hip. She is supposedly at this rehab center to be working on walking again. How much therapy is she getting? The doctor and I held her up so he could look at her surgery site. She was extremely weak and could not stand on her own, so are they just leaving her in the wheelchair all day? If she cannot walk, I can understand, but she should be sitting in therapeutic chairs at the very least.
I had knee surgery on a Friday and on Monday a transporter picked me up from the hospital to bring me to Palm Gardens. Well he brings me inside then is told to bring me to my room and they wanted him to help me get in bed. That was strike 1. Someone came and helped because I demanded it. I worked in healthcare so I know that is not the protocol. Well it just got worse and worse. I am young 52 but I feel sorry for the elders, the staff is rude on the 3-11 and 11-7 shifts. You can hear yelling and arguing between staff and most of them do not speak English. The place is dirty, short staffed and should be inspected. In my experience if you are short handed then you should not be taking on new patients. When you have to sacrifice the well being of your patients money is not worth it. The staff talks down to these poor people and it's just not right or professional in my opinion.
This place has a horrible reputation. Every nurse or CNA is told not to work here due to the high risk on their license. These companies need to put more into their employees to keep the good ones who go above and beyond for their patients. Then this place might have a chance.
Left me after shown bedroom. Tried to get nurses attention. Wasn't shown how to call nurse, turn on TV, or adjust bed. Bed too low to stand up from fell on floor tried to get someone's attention for over 30 minutes,by yelling loudly during that time no one heard me.Called fire rescue for help. Left place. Staff lazy and incompetent. went to hospital following night for extremely sore ribs.
The service is very professional. Great food and wonderful staff. Nice, clean facility. My mom really enjoyed her stay. Recommend for sure. Very nice director. Dont send your family anywhere else.
Sometimes we may not be able to grasp how caregivers do such an amazing job given the long hours, enormous responsibility and pressure placed on them. I am so proud and appreciative of the Palm Garden staff for their courtesy and kindness. Their service should never go unnoticed! Larry Millennium Cremation Service Thank You
So far, my mother has been here for less than 24 hours and it's already a disaster. She had total shoulder replacement surgery on her dominant arm and this morning they just came in, threw her breakfast in front of her and left. She needed assistance preparing her oatmeal and no one seemed to care. Being a fall risk, I wonder how long they make her wait to get up to go to the bathroom. I'll be in there today and things better be different or the state regulation board will be hearing from me and I'm not one to quit until I get the results I am looking for, even it it takes months!
My mother is here..the place is clean and does not smell as many nursing homes do. The food and dinning is pretty decent. The therapists are exceptional.. as for the nursing staff..it depends on the individual. Some are very professional and caring but others are more lethargic and apathetic than some of the patients.. but overall..pretty good.
My husband was very ill and came to you in a weakened condition. His care and concern was very touching; Your staff is very caring. Keith was a wonderful physical therapist, having given Graham strength and confidence. He is definitely an asset to you. Well done Keith! My ignorance regarding medical insurance was appeased by Jeff. Bless him for all of the help and getting us on the right road to health insurance. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I pray that Graham need not return to a rehab but you would be the only one that we would consider. Thank you. God bless!
I have a huge appreciation of the nurses, the therapists, and the entire staff of Palm Garden in Port St. Lucie, during my husband's two-month-long illness and through his staying twice in the rehabilitation and later his passing. Most of these wonderful people went above and beyond what was required of them. It is true that every institute that deals with patient care and rehabilitation can use more and better doctors, but the nurses, therapists, and the staff certainly made up for what lacked. If I ever would need such care, I told my son to put me in PSL's Palm Garden. Kudos to Palm Garden of Port St. Lucie and again, thank you very much for taking care of my husband and holding my hand through a very difficult time.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
