Freezing cold. Constant noise. Zero privacy. You will be surrounded by lunatics. This is the typical jail treatment for addiction. Better stay home and get drunker.
Mark, in admissions, was amazing in helping me feel comfortable going into treatment and in starting into my new recovery. There are no words to explain the devastating feeling that was incapacitated in my mind but he, somehow, managed to open my feelings up in a positive way.I stayed there for 2 weeks and I’m feeling so much better. There is so much hope for me and Mark helped me feel this way. He would come up and see how me and other people in the unit felt… A lot of people wouldn’t do that but he did.Thank you Mark for making my stay there better.
Mark at Port St Lucie Hospital was Fantastic helping me at the most difficult time in my 61 years. He was great to talk to about my mother s problem he also called my brother in Texas and agreed she needed much needed overdue help. Mark talked to my mother on speaker phone calmed her down to agreeing to get treatment something since my childhood no one could do my Dad took her to therapist s and she would walk out. Her Church took her to AA meeting s and would say I am --------- and I do not have a substance abuse problem. Years of me calling for help and me and my brothers going to therapy Mark finally talked her into getting treatment she is 81 years old. I called Tuesday morning she was admitted Wednesday morning. I feel confident they will do a great job helping her and I can finally sleep at night Thank You Mark and St Lucie Hospital.
To whom it may concern,My 19 year old son was admitted to this hospital. So far, after 9 days of admittance, the hospital staff has been very communicative and supportive. From admissions to the top Doctor on staff, everyone has been great to deal with during such a difficult transition in my parenting life. Prayers and thanks to all the staff of St. Lucie Hospital, as they traverse a very difficult field of healthcare!

Every time I have needed help this facility is there for me. 95% of the staff was very good to me even though I admit I can be hard to deal with when detoxing from alcohol. Mark in admissions is amazing and and is always there for me. Mark in PHP is great. He really helped me this past visit. Thank you all for being there for me!
Mark in Admissions is SUPER nice. My sister is ill and with all that my family and I have gone through, he made things very smooth as my sister transitions to attend their facility. On days when I've been down he was able to make laugh (even if it was just for the moment). I truly appreciate all of his help and I'm looking forward to the recovery for my sister. Mark thank you again for all your help :-)Kind Regards,Ada S.
Admissions is so great having Mark there. He took care of having a relative picked up within hours after I called. He deserves 10 stars.
Mark in Admissions was so compassionate, kind and helpful. He worked with me to get all aspects of my son's admission in place. I am grateful and happy for this facility and the work they do
Inquired about assistance for elderly Hoarders, told to exhaust Google for a specialist or call the Dept of Child Svcs. to report an Elderly Adult as a Danger to themselves.Brushed and Rushed Off!Where's the Compassion? How are you not able to support an aging demographic in a nation of mass consumption? OCPD should be addressed. If you don't care for that disorder at least have 2 referrals for it.Florida is a Trash Can!
My husband was in alcohol detox for 7 days. Admissions deserves 5 stars but if u need to talk with a nurse or social worker, u can forget it. A return call will not happen. The beds feel like plywood with a piece of foam on top and my husband came out with a very bad neck crick that has lasted over a week now. We also had a bad experience with the nurses station over his cigarettes. I had sent 4 cartons in since there was a possibility my husband could be detoxing for as long as 28 days. He was given 2 cigarettes per smoke break and gave a friend 3 packs while there. That accounts for no more than one full carton. When he checked out, he was told they could not find the other 3 cartons. I called to talk to the nurse supervisor about the incident and left a message for her to call but she never called me back. I'm very disappointed in their lack of concern. We lost $120.00 in cigarettes. Shame on Port St. Lucie Hospital for allowing theivery to go on in their facility!!
This hospital saved my life! The staff that greeted me upon intake were welcoming and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, and told me what to expect during my stay.My Doctors really took their time to listen to my concerns, and to make sure my voice and opinions were addressed, and included in my treatment. Every doctor at this facility is caring and we'll qualifed. The Nurses and Mental Health Technicians were the best I've ever met. It would make my day when they came in because I knew they would go above and beyond to make sure I was well and taken care of.If you're looking to get help, this is the place to go.5 stars!
Mark Humphrey is a Lifesaver... he goes above and beyond to help during the times of needThank you Mark Humphrey continue to show true concern
My Mother has suffered with a lot of Mental Health issues over the past year. Port Saint Lucie Hospital has come through for my Family in a big way. Thank You to all of the staff for helping my Mom!
I have worked as a Registered Nurse for 35 years. The PSL hospital admission team demonstrated compassion, concern and a level of professionalism that assisted me in coordinating care that was above expectations.I would recommend this hospital to anyone in need of care for mental health issues.
This is a 5 Star rating for PSL Hospital. The admissions team has gone above and beyond in assisting me and my person of need.
Mark Humphrey was teriffic from the first day I met him throughout my stay in the SAU. I also followed up going to the PHP for 3 weeks and Daniell was excellent.
Mark Humphrey was great to work with during my Mother's stay. We were thankful for the care she received in the Senior Mental Health Facility. The Treasure Coast is lucky to have this resource! Dr. Amanda was fabulous and our family would highly recommend Pt. St. Lucie Hospital.
Mark Humphrey is the BEST!!!! He really went above and beyond with helping my loved one get through their course of treatment. Mark is a very caring and compassionate person when it comes to helping others who are struggling with addiction......
I was desperately looking for a drug rehabilitation center for my family member Needless to say, I was beside myself with fear and frustration.Mark Humphrey in admissions answered the phone and it felt like someone picked me up and cradled me after going through this ordeal! Mark compassionately walked me the next few steps and and took charge of all my worries. They didn’t have a bed when I talked to him at first but he said he would do everything he could to get my family member in. And he did!I felt like the world was lifted off my shoulders. In the next day he called me saying that they had a bed available! He work magic and took complete charge of a situation that was beating myself and my other family members up so badly.Mark, I can never thank you enough for how you treated me and my sister!Thank you for saving her life!Sincerely; Tracy 🙏
