List of Robert A Sellards's Reviews
Had reverse total shoulder replacement, and Dr Sellards repaired my rotator cuff. He was very professional has a great bedside manner answered all my questions.I had used him for knee replacement, and a rotator cuff repair years before he’s a great doctor wouldn’t trust anyone else. highly recommend.
The best orthopedic physician you could ask for. There is no better.
Dr. Sellards did a great job of my knee replacement! I would highly recommend him to anyone considering getting this procedure done! He and his entire staff are exceptional! The entire group are thoughtful, punctual, polite and very professional. The physical therapy I received was excellent and most helpful in getting me up and active again.
Dr. Sellards replaced my right knee in June 2021 and he will be doing my left knee in Feb. 2022, using the Muscle Sparing procedure. My recovery was so much quicker than I expected. I can't wait to get the left knee done soon.
Felt very comfortable and confident in Dr Sellards. He did a total shoulder replacement.
Dr. Sellards replaced my right knee in 2/2019. In the process, during the manipulation of the knee once the prosthesis was in, he tore the L5 disc in my back. During recovery, I kept telling him something was wrong. This was my 4th joint replacement. I was very familiar with replacement pain. I had burning pain from my knee down, my right foot was numb, but also intensely painful. I couldn’t sleep due to the intense pain. This is not typical of joint replacement pain. I kept going back to him telling him what I was experiencing. He kept sayin, “but the X-rays are perfect”. He didn’t listen to me, he didn’t offer to help, he told me I was depressed. After a CAT scan through another doctor, it showed my disc was torn. The fluid leaking from the disc was aggravating the nerve to my right leg. He never offered to help me. I live with this intense pain every day. I am athletic and fit. My life had been drastically curtailed by his mistake. The worst part, however, is he never offered help.
So just got of the phone with Florida Orthopedic Specialists. I was told that they would take Humana choice ppo but would not take Humana choice ppo Medicare advantage which is what I have. I was told it was the preference of the physicians. So do they not want to to except seniors (old people) as new patient's? Put us to the side. This tells me it's not about the care of seniors it's about the money. We need to change the way our medical profession industry works. Pick and choose who they want to help. Hope this review will work and change things in the future.
He has been looking after my knees for 3 yrs. I like him a lot. Very thoughtful
Dr.Sellards was honest and understanding . He was not pushing surgery without trying other treatments first.
My visits with Dr. Sellards are short and to the point. He is an extremely talented surgeon who fixed a tricky break at the top of my arm into my shoulder. I have recovered 98% mobility, and thrilled with that result. I am about to go into robotic hip surgery with Dr. Sellards on March 5th.2021. My neighbor had her hip replaced by Dr. Sellards, and assured me again, that Dr. Sellards is the go to. I will keep y'all posted.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
