I had a severe back problem for many years and knew a fusion was eventually inevitable. I was a patient of Dr. Hansel for many years. I appreciated that he did not push me towards the procedure. When I finally decided to go through with it, I did my own research and found, what I felt was, a less invasive way of doing the fusion. I asked him about it, but he did not recommend it in my case. He seemed upset that I wanted a 2nd opinion. I did get a 2nd opinion, and had the procedure done by a different doctor. I tried going back to Dr. Hansel, because overall I thought he was a good doctor, and I wanted to continue my care with him. The day I went back, he took x-rays and stated that the other doctor “didn’t do your back any favors.“ He did not explain his meaning or go over the x-rays with me. He told me that he would not be seeing me anymore because I was the other doctors patient now. I’m not writing this out of unkindness, but to advise that he may not be open to 2nd opinions.

I have no idea if this doctor is any good because I never got to see him. On my first appointment, he left me waiting for an hour after my scheduled time. I couldn't wait because I had to leave for another meeting. Stupid me, I decided to try again and rescheduled. Yet again, this inconsiderate doctor let me wait 35 minutes after my scheduled time. I told them to shred my records and left. HORRIBLE DOCTOR, HORRIBLE STAFF that have no idea how to run an office!

Dr Hansell recently operated on my lower back. He is a true professional with excellent “bedside” manners. Dr Hansell explains his operating procedures very well. Two weeks after the surgery I am almost pain free. I highly recommend Dr Hansell.

I recently visited Dr Hansell for lower back pain. The office workers were super friendly and exam was though. Dr Hansell was caring He didnt push anything on me.. I highly reccomend his office.

Dr.Hansell not worth his title. He has the attitude that life is great for him. Don't waste your time, he's only in for money. After 3 procedures that didn't help he had the nerve to suggest the same one again. I became very suspicious of his real motivation. So I saw a different surgeon and eventually had a laminectamy.

My wife presented with acute lower back pain. Dr H tried a few facet blocks and a course of PT before operating and inserting a titanium cage. She was up and walking the next day and has recovered completely.

I read some reviews and hesitant to schedule, I am so glad I decided to go. First they got me in within a couple days for a ER follow up, everyone I encountered during my visit was extremely personable and kind. From the front office to the physician to the medical assistant. The doctor was very personable and attentive, he took his time and answered all my questions. I would recommend this office to anyone. But learn from my mistake lol he is in the 2 story building I parked on the wrong side and had to walk to his office with a busted knee. Highly recommend!
